Well, by starting posting, I answered by first question--namely how do I get more than the dinky silver that the beginning battles get me :P

So events(actually the graphic for the event banner was on the add--it was one of the things that attracted me ^ ^)--how does it work? is there an event tab that I'm missing to click on, or will it just affect battles, etc?

Thanks for the responses. The FAQs were quite helpful. (I noticed, made typo in my last post, by the way. I meant to say that I figured out how to get more silver than just the meager battle prize. Hurray for being verbose )
