I'm new, so please forgive me if this has already been discussed, but the class/element system seems extremely unbalanced to me, at least at low levels. For instance, the only difference between a magician and a priest, is at level, a magician get 6 magic points, whereas the priest gets 3 (I think..) and the priest gets 2 armour increase while the magician gets 1. It just doesn't seem balanced. Elements too - Some will give you 1 forging, others will give you more. So why not just pick the one that gives you the most of what you want?

Is any of this making sense? Sweat It's early and my brain is fuzzy still. Anyway, if this changes as you level, please feel free to tell me about it and I'll zip my lips! Happy

haha. I am not sure, because i never really pay too much attention to those types of things. I just picked the things that I liked and that looked like they had some fairly high numbers. I am not really that into battling except that is passes the time and I can get some lotus flowers by doing it as well as some silver. I hope an admin answers your question soon though.

I may just feel fuzzy from my own nap, but I don't think I fully understand.

However, if I'm following correctly, I don't think I'd use the word balanced to describe anything of that sort. The system is made to be diverse, I believe.

Interesting that someone should bring this up.
And honestly, i agree that they aren't balanced, But that's not necessarily a bad thing, A priest character could basically be a mage with lower casting ability but higher defensive capabilities. Its not balanced, and i think some of it could be revised in the future, such as giving the priest slightly more hp than a mage. But when it comes to the tribes and elements, i think they're fine, They're set up so players can choose what type of skills they want and have a decent start with them. Such as Zuntai with melee fighting, and Nomadic human with magic fighting.

SO it might not balance, but its set pretty fairly. :]

But, i would like to see some more classes in the future and since this game deals with dragons a lot I'd like to recommend the creation of a Dragoon class. I've dealt with this class in many games and i enjoy it. (if you decide for some reason to make it, i can provide information about it. Happy)

I actually prefer it like this. It's unballenced but i enjoy it that way. It means you can actually put some thought into your character and choosing whatever you want to do. Rather then being able to randomise and still be as good as the person who thought about it alot. As someone who didn't think about it verry much and likes being slightly underpowered i find it a good system.

But then i'm one of thsoe people who doesn't like version 4.0 of dnd becuase they ballenced everything... >__>;;

now that others have commented I think that it is nice to not have stats balanced because i mean...if they were it would be too easy for people. I mean its more about making a character that you would love instead of a character is equal with others or better than others. I mean you can always battle up if you want to be a certain character. I dont know. Its just me.
