Okay, well there was a leak in my house's water heater, and tons of water is coming out of it.It's making my mom water bill skyrocket and the police told us something about it.We ordered a new one but the people haven't come to bring it or install it,which really sucks.

I have two choices:
A:Take a shower in numbing water
B:Heat the water in a big jug and take a bath.

Congratulation,you chose B!
Yes.And it sucked.

For the past three days I have had to rinse my hair and body in a cup. When the water comes down,it starts to cool down and I can't stand still for a second.I'm praying it comes tomorrow.

Discuss~
Has anything like this happened to you?
If so,how was it?

That sucks. D: I'd literally call a friend and ask to shower at their house.

Nope, I couldn't use water in my house one day because.. I forgot why, but it was minor.

So it was only one day thank god.

That really sucks for you. :/ Ask a friend or close relative to use their's?

I was staying at my grandma's house once when the power went out. I chose option A, I jumped in then jumped out and dried off, then we went out to eat. The worst part is the power came back on like right after we left.

I don't think that has ever happened here.. well it has but not long enough to affect anything.
And if that did happen and for some reason I needed to take a shower, I'd pass.
I mean, I can stand cold weather, heck I'll even wear shorts and t-shirt in freezing temperatures!
But when it comes to cold water + shower, I don't care if I have to wait a week, I'm not getting near it and you can't make me. >:C

In my house, we've never had our water heater break. Although my mother had our whole main floor renovated. It was only suppose to be the kitchen and the bathroom, but it was found out that our walls do not have insulation. To my knowledge, no one in our neighbourhood has insulation.

I hope as well that your new water heater comes tomorrow. If only it broke during the summer.

I have to agree with Cat. If mine were to break in the winter, in no way am I going shower in the cold.

No worries, we've been without a water heater for a couple months now, too. .__.

We've had to gorge our stove with wood and hope that it gets hot enough that it'll heat the water in the shower.

I hope you get your water heater soon, though. Your situation seems a buttload worse than mine. Blech. Jugbath. xD

I went through something similar recently. We had a situation come up where we had to take one of our cats to the vet and it was pretty expensive so we were short on money to pay the bills and our gas got turned off. We had no gas for almost three weeks. That means no heat in the house, no hot water, no stove to cook on, and no dryer for laundry. Oh my gosh I was miserable!!! We have a tiny little heater that we kept by the bed at night to try to stay warm along with a lot of blankets. Any food had to be something we could do in the microwave or sandwiches. I had to heat water in the microwave to be able to wash any dishes. And as far as showers and baths go ~ I washed my hair in cold water hanging over the side of the bathtub. And I washed my important parts squatting down in the bathtub with a bowl of warmish water and soap and some papertowels and I didn't go anywhere for those three weeks ~ I just stayed at home because I felt icky. I think the first shower I took after getting the gas turned back on was probably the best shower I've ever taken in my life.

That must have sucked D:
Mine was just the water, not the gas, yours was way worse D:
I bet when I get my boiler im going to take a nice,long,10 minute shower <3

This morning I felt gross because I hadn't taken a real bath in a week(All I do is wash my hair, body, and you know what) and we had some leftover water from my sister's shower,so I stuck my head in the big thing and washed my hair there.

That sucks. D: Our water heater broke not that long back, I guess it was a few months ago, but we got it fixed right away, so it didn't affect me at all. Except that when the new one was put in it was at a lower setting so the shower water was barely warm until we fixed it to be hotter. But it was at least warm enough not to be really uncomfortable.
