OH GOD NOT CAMP

Well I just realized in two-one days,i'm going to camp :o
I don't know the name,but it's the first time i'm going since it's for something we're studying.I have to spend the week and i'm freaked out since i'm like a germaphobe and I heard we have to shower in showers that other girls used >>;;

I'm also a big bug freak(bigbig) and I heard theres a lot of bugs D;
When there is a bug on me I usually wash that spot but GUESS WHAT WE ONLY GET TO TAKE SHOWERS 2 TIMES -________-
Wish me luck and if I have a crappy time i'll come back here feeling good to be on Mido <3

Ew. I've never really been camping. I'm okay with bugs as long as they are outside and not inside or near where I am sleeping. Being that camping means sleeping near the bugs, I don't think I'd be okay with it. I feel sorry for you LOL. The shower thing would bother me too. I don't mind using public showers as long as they appear clean and have locking doors and not just a curtain. Like I'll use the showers at pools and stuff but I would never ever use the showers in the high school gym, nor did anyone else. But the thing about only two showers? DX I have to have a shower everyday or my hair gets greasy and gross.

Oh ewww, I feel your pain.

Anything larger than a fly flying at my face gives me the huge heebegeebes. I freak out each time. Drives me nuts cuz I live out in the country, so there's lots of bees and dirt dobbers and all other kinds of disgusting little monsters.

I've been camping, though, actually, I went every year for about four years and was a YCL (Youth Camp Leader) for one year. It was totally worth it. I enjoyed it a lot because we had this awesomesauce pool for the first three years and then we went to this one area with an actual lake.

Sadly, some of the girls under my watch got leeches (omg ewewew), but it was fun! We even got to go canoeing and everything. I'm not saying that it'll be easy, it's your first time, I'm guessing, but who knows, give it a chance and you might be able to have a little bit of fun. Not guaranteeing it, but who knows.

Just try to keep a stiff upper lip and your head held high. And bring lots of hand sanitizer or some self cleansing wipes for your germaphobia. It'll help a little bit with the two shower a day limit.

And yeah, there's always sex of some sort in the showers of any school. My highschool included. It was kind of sad, seeing as I was a female, but I was a team manager so my uncle (the coach) would send me into the boy's locker room, merely for the fact he knew I wasn't 'pretty enough for the guys to do anything to'... *self esteem plummet* But yeah, we had a lot of gays in both sides of the team, male and female. You get used to it after a while, but, if you have problems using showers other girls do, I have a suggestion.

Take a pair of either a) water shoes, or b) flipflops, and wear them in the shower with you. You can even wash them off when you're done, and it's one less thing you have to change in or out of. I don't know how cold it is over there, or the current conditions of where you're staying, but best of luck.

I loved camp!
I had to go to at least one every summer going up, but it was so much fun!

<.< and having had to be with picky campers who can't just chill and enjoy the freedom, I beg you not to complain every second. Its really annoying, but if you try, you will have fun!
I've only been to one camp that I didn't like, and I was a councilor there, and did my best to make sure my girls had fun. I think they did, but I never returned. Thats one out of....*mumbles to her self* eight- yes we'll say I went to eight in my life.

Communal showers aren't that bad. Wear flipflops and you're fine. Its like washing your hands in a public restroom.
