What happened to our roleplays?

This is a question for an Admin.

LadyHarpy and I are doing two roleplays: "The Golden Dragon" in RolePlayer's Paradise and "Racing Time" in the 1x1. After about eight thirty or nine o'clock last night (for me) Midorea stopped working and I couldn't get on.

Now, all the posts LadyHarpy and I made yesterday are gone. Completely! It's like two pages of roleplay never happened at all.

What happened? Is this a site-wide thing? Can we get our posts back?

I'm not an admin, but I think I can answer that.

It seems that Midorea had a rollback. Some problems with the servers, I guess, and when they corrected it, they must have reinstalled the last saved database or something like that, meaning all the things that were done yesterday are gone. I think there's a thread about that in the Help forum, if you want to check it.

I had the same problem with my role-plays and rewrite every posts that were gone. Though, if you're only two players, I guess you could just write a little summary of what had happened instead of re-posting the whole thing...

My Advice too would be keep an offline copy, I too have lost RP's that way. And the make great reading later too XP

I've done that with a roleplay on a different forum. Unfortunately, my computer is undergoing maintenance...but I will start to do that in the future!

Bummer, you may want to utilize google document if you tend to switch computers. Then so long as you have a net connection you have the file I did that in Japan as my laptop cable severed and I was unable to use my laptop....
