Battle System Questions

What are the chances of battle drops? Is there a notification if something drops, or does it just appear in your inventory?

How do you raise the following; Theft, Enchantment, Stone Cutting, Mining Skills?



Neither are that urgent, I was just curious. :)

I think forge skills are improved by fixing your weapons at the forge. I've done that a few times and the bar changed, so yeah XP

I'm not sure about the other skills though, so I guess I'd like to know how those work too.

Items drop randomly but rather rarely. When they drop, there will be a notification at the end of the battle, saying that you "found" the drop. ^^ This may help you a bit.

Currently, those skills cannot be raised. I don't know if or when they'll be added or added back to the system. (Theft was taken away because of a loophole where users could steal from the Temple of Gold of they were good enough.)

Yeah, I've noticed the forge level going up, and that gots me a'thinking, "I wonder how the other ones work..."

Stealing from the Temple of Gold? xD That must've caused some trouble.

D'aw, there should be some kind of game where you can improve your skills. My monk character's supposed to be part theif, she should have good theft skills XP

@Rosalie: That was probably raised because of an element. I'm level two theft without doing anything because of my Lower Deity element, even though I can't use it.


@Alyss: I believe that the problem was spotted before any users got the chance to take advantage of it. ^^ And the site was even smaller at the time so I'm sure they would've said something.

I think Cat's said before that they're working on it, but I don't think the skills are as high on the to-do list as things involving the battle system or site updates. :3

Was it stealing from the Temple of Gold? I had only heard there was some way of abusing the theft system, but I guess that could be the problem. XD

I know Charm was disabled because people had high enough stats that they were getting discounts in the Temple of Gold. Like, they'd only be paying 1 gold for the ARI. =o

And none of the other stats have ever been active, at least not in the time I've been here.


As for the drop rates, I can only say they're particularly low. If I remember correctly, the drop rate for the Baby Dragon Wings are somewhere around 1/13,000. >.<

Oh yeah, that's what it was. I don't think I heard of what type of abuse, but I did hear something about the temple of gold with charm, and higher charm allows you to steal more easily, so I just put two and two together really.

I had always theorized that since negative silver is disabled you could just keep on attempting to steal until you got the thing, but you'd just stay at 0 instead of constantly take the penalty.

Then you just go sell the stuff in the MP and make tons of silver. >.<

You can have negative silver. o-0 I've seen it with new users who make a lot of spam and get their posts deleted.

But that's by "unnatural" means. You're forcing the system to give them negative gold.

It's physically impossible to get negative gold by means other than modification to the system when that way's disabled.

Oh, and the reason theft was removed was for the reasons provided above. You could continue to steal even if you did not have the money for the penalty. So it would give you negative silver and you'd still have the item.
