Hi yall!
I'm tired. I'll have to go to bed early tonight...I start my new job tomorrow...which sucks because usually I sleep in till one on mondays even with having a nap on sundays after work. At least I'm only have to be there for like 4 hours! And apparently the first hour is just filling out paperwork...although I don't know why that takes an hour... |
Ohh, congrats on the new job! Good luck tomorrow too. At least it's not for very long.
Also blech >< Humidity is the worst.

| Thanks yall!
I'm mostly having the problem of what to wear. I don't think there is a dress code. The manager wears a King Photo shirt...but the girl I saw working in there was just dressed in a long-sleeved shirt...I don't remember what kind of pants... *is lacking in the nice pants department due to the whole she wears jeans to her current job*
Oh...and it is working in a photo lab essentially! Although I don't get to make prints in a dark room...that sucks... So I get to do something that involves my major! YAY!

| I should probably attempt to draw digitally with my tablet...I just don't understand how to...
Totally prefer drawing traditionally...but digitally offers things that you can't do traditionally without more tools and tracing paper or a light box...

| Terrena: An old Genius 8x6 Pen tablet. Not sure the model anymore, but can't say it's all that young...xD Traditional drawing is nifty, but I can't color well offline. Seriously, I still can't color in the lines. AT ALL.

| If I actually watch what I am doing...and it is with pencil, marker, or crayon...I can color in the lines...paint...regardless of the type of paint...nope...can't color in the lines.
I've actually never heard of Genious.
I have an old Wacom Graphire 4 tablet. Don't know the size...larger than 8x6 though.

As for tablets I have a wacom intuos 3. bo3ob It'll turn 3 or 4 this year and it still work great, even after i throw and knock and drop it everywhere.
And honestly, when I first started drawing with tablet it was very strange. One thing I'll say is that you should face your monitor straight-on with your tablet aligned when you're first starting out - I did it at an angle and that's how my body learned, so everything i drew was slightly angle/off. It's taken me forever to relearn how to draw correctly via tablet.

| I wanted an intuos! But it was out of our price range.
I'm glad I got my graphire 4 before that quit making graphires though and went to bamboo. I remember reading a bunch of things about how so many people upgraded to bamboo and it turned out to be crap.
