The last day of the Lotus Festival has gone, and with it people begin to pour out of the city. Lanterns strung up to light the streets have been taken down, the last of the fallen petals collected, and the once bustling event stands are being dismantled. With nothing to do, you stand near the entrance to watch as the Dragon Clans make their grand march out of the City. Looking closely at the leaders, you try and read their expressions in hopes of seeing something. Are they uneasy? Unfazed? You ponder the aftermath of the intrusion, wondering what has resulted and what the cause was.
First is Lien, who is now holding her head high, just as she did before. Among a chattering crowd though, she remains silent. Second is Sho, who has placed himself in the middle of his tribe instead of the front. It’s strange to see the leader march solemnly in line with his people, rather than leading them with a smile. Third is Tu, who really doesn’t look much different than before. His shoulders are sitting a little more firmly than they normally do, however, and his posture is somehow making him take up little space. You turn your gaze to the Water Tribe, knowing that Hanako will be the easiest to read. However, when you scan the crowd, you cannot find her.
The tribes are marching slowly, so you run down the road to catch the beginning of the Water Tribe again. Still, you don’t see Hanako. Others have caught on as well, already beginning to spread rumors and fears. Others yet begin yelling out to the leaders. You head to the front of the clans again, this time in suit with others. Someone next to you shouts as you try to catch up, “Lien, Lien! Hanako isn’t with you. Wait, come back! Hanako is gone.” She doesn’t even avert her gaze.
Another voice yells, “Sho, do you know where Hanako is? Is she here?” Again, the calls are ignored.
The Water Dragons begin slowing their pace, but a few Earth Dragon guards jump between them and you. Midoreans begin closing in with panic, but a Fire and Wind Dragon guards jump in as well. The group of tribes quickens its pace as the guards stay behind, blocking off Midoreans from pursuing them. In the face of questions and developing fear and anger, they remain stoic. It is only when the other dragons are out of sight that they back away, dropping their human appearances and allowing wings to rip from the clothes on their backs. They take off toward their people, leaving Midoreans alone in the city outskirts, still begging for answers.
You can now exchange your Petals for Silver on the Exchange page, and your Lotus Flowers will now give you Silver.
Hope you enjoyed the event!
