I got into roleplay, avatar sites, neopets, etc all about the same time, I believe.

Not sure when that time was though. I know my first rp was when I was eleven. Unfortunately, I only posted once or twice, because the site was dead/quickly dying. I'm pretty sure the name had grace in it, and it was a cat roleplay.

On the other hand, it was probably a good place to start, seeing as it was fairly literate, with a two paragraph minimum. So I got off to a good start. Two paragraphs is challenging when you are eleven ;_;

As for avatar sites, I played gaia off and on probably for two years? 12/13? When I say off and on, by the way, I mean I played it for like week every four months XD

I made a new account on there more recently, last year I think, and stuck around for a month or so during the halloween event, the only time I ever had more then 5000gp.... gotta love events.

During that time, I found an ad on tektek for "menewsha", a decent but very strict site. Played that, forgot about it, played it again, got involved in some silly-ness, and quit. And now I'm here, after about 3-5 months away from avatar sites of any sort.

I'm sixteen now.

Woah that was a lot longer then it should have been. Eh heh.

Tl;dr: Started avatar sites (Gaia) when I was eleven. Probably.

but hey getting your first fanart in a comic based on a roleplay when youre only 11 is pretty good, no? ^w^ i should dig that picture up again if i can... and actually save it to my computer the next time i find it!

I'm twenty-one (but look about seventeen, heh). It is no surprise than most people on avatar sites around generally around my age and younger. The internet isn't anything new anymore and now little kids are exploring sites like these. Back when, I was mostly told to go outside and play when I was younger. Kids nowadays have cell phones, internet access and all that other fun stuff - and most starting at like...age five! It's nuts. But yeah, still no surprise. All the young people I've run into seem to be pretty mature. Just the other day I was talking to a thirteen year old girl on a different site. HAD NO IDEA she was thirteen until she told me shortly before she had to log offline. I was definitely surprised by that. She's cool though and we still talk.

No, actually it looks as though there are a number of people around my age here. (In other words, people who can drink legally. Ah, slightly vague answers are fun, aren't they?)

For whatever reason I seem to guess everyone's age online as somewhere between sixteen and twenty-five, so I'm obviously not surprised at the age range on this site.

*looks at the graph* XD Ha ha. That was about what I was expecting it to be.

I joined an avatar site originally when I started college. I stayed on them because how big the art base is. I tried other sites, like facebook, and they are terrible for chatting with other artists.

I expect most other people to be in their teens. Teens tend to be more willing to try sites like this and also tend to be better at finding them first.

As such I've stayed and joined several other avatar sites and I will remain on them for... well probably forever.

Currently I'm in my late 20s. XD
