Tsemara: Oh? What's this other idea? (Your headache ideas sound good.)

Mountain: Ah, my werewolves are different. They live in packs. That sort of plot wouldn't work, sorry!

Okay so, let's say the werewolf runs into a human. And said mundie accidentally finds out about the world beyond the Veil. So, the powers that be decide that something needs to be done to keep the mortal from squealing, you know. So, They opt for either destroying them, or turning them into a non-human. Seeing that there's already a werewolf, I figured turning them into a vamp or something else that can be hybridized with a human.

Yeah, I really need to take some meds.

Why not a ragamuffin? Easily my favorite form of specter. Great pranksters, toned-down powers, and overall out of the ordinary.

@Yare: I spose you have a point. I guess I should have seen that coming. Do werebears travel in packs? And what about a werecrocodile and other non-Weremammals? I'm not making fun of you, it's an honest question.

Hehehehehe.

They'd have to call a vampire over for that.

@Mountain You need to take into consideration what kind of animal you are using in your zoanthropy. Wolves are a social animal and thus travel in packs. It would only make sense to have their counterparts do the same. Same with lions and bird types. However if you take an animal that is solitary in nature, such as a bear or a tiger, or a gator for that matter, they are more likely to act on their own.

@Yare Yeah I guess they would. Or some sort of spellcaster that specializes in trasformation magics.

Fair enough. Fair enough. Regardless, I wanna start a role-play.
Hit me with your best shot, Yare ;D

Mountain: Sorry, guess we posted at the same time ^^; But yeah, it does depend on the animal you choose. My werewolves can transform whenever they like (NOT based off Twishite...off of Terry Pratchett, actually) but have to change at the full moon; they have stronger-than-normal senses even in human form (though they strengthen when they're wolves), and they can communicate with wolves and dogs. Maybe your wereanimal could do that, or something similar? A creature that has bad eyesight naturally might wear glasses as a human, perhaps. Up to you, though.

Tsemara: Actual vampire or so would be cooler, I think. Anything else we need to add?

Okay so, just to be clear, do you want a human that gets turned into a vamp, or a vamp right off the bat. And which particular rules do you or do you not use? I prefer having a sachel of grave dirt as opposed to lugging a coffin around to sleep in. Do they have any magical like abilities outside of logevity and crazy speed/strangth/whatever?

Also, that sounds like the kind of zoanthropy I use for my characters.

Hm? I thought the vampire thing would be a sub-plot?

Just making sure it still was. I was a bit confused. (But I still would like to know what rules you use when dealing with the bloodsuckers.)

Anyhoo!! Where should the setting be? And how do our characters meet?

I use the standard stuff: drink blood, turn into bats, death by sunlight/religious symbols/garlic/steak to the heart, kept dead by cutting off head, which is placed between feet at burial/burial at crossroads/burial near running water/buried with coin in mouth, and revived with blood.

Hm. You wanted a more modern fantasy-ish setting, right? And maybe they each get notes, as representatives of each of their species, telling them to meet somewhere?

And what sort of species will you play?

I do pretty much the same, minus the garlic. It seems a bit silly to be killed by a plant. But I do use it as a deterrent. Same with religious symbols. (Wee...multi faith talismans... always sure to bother someone.) I prefer turning into a wolf or hellhound. But I suppose to each their own. Everything else pretty much looks the same.

I still haven't figured that one out yet. I'll play the vamp when we get there. But to start things out, I just can't decide. I have a handful of things I want to use, but no feasable way to keep them hidden on the mortal side of the Veil.

Yeah. Deterrent. That's what I meant, sorry. I don't like turning into the wolf idea, because my character does that, so it would be pretty redundant. I don't think the vamp should stay with them permanently, because those horrid wastes of paper made me hate them utterly. It's fine as a minor sub-plot, but I don't want it to last. Do you have any character that can hide themselves as a human easily - or who can avoid human contact? My werewolves do both.

Yes, redundancy is redundant. And I understand your reason as to why you wouldn't want a vamp around.

I have a demon-ish character that can hide their inhuman features, for the most part. I'll need to change them around slightly so that I'm not clashing with your character. (They're a wolf demon. But I can change it to a feline base or a draconic one for kicks.)

I also have an human elementalist. They might work.

The first character could blend in with, but would generally avoid human contact just because they don't like mundies too much. The second doesn't have a problem with them and can blend in fairly well.

They both sound cool. How about we let the dice decide?
