Unlikely Allies (Ren+Amber)

[Amber]

Aevin glared at the old man.

"If I didn't have the respect for elders as I do, I would be going after you, next." She half snarled, but just crossed her arms, her eye coloru staying as the firey red.

"Ericka, why did you summon us here?" She asked

[Ren Negade]

"Actually it was I who asked Erika to contact you all."Erika's grandfather piped up.

"So you called for us, so what do you know about the ruins we just visited?"Astral asked.

"Well lets see...I'm guessing when you got there you saw a door you couldn't get pass, correct?"

"Yeah, it would seem that our trip there was pointless for the most part."

"Oh ho, it would seem you don't know the secret about those ruins."

"What secret?"

"The ruins change form based on if it's either day or night."

"Hold on a sec, you're telling us that we need to check the ruins...again, and at night this time?"

"Precisely."

"Oh for the love of God....fine, but it better be worth our time."

[Amber]

"Why was it that this information was withheld from the beginning?" Aevin asked under her breath as Ericka made her way over and just latched onto Astral.

"Is there anything else you feel the need to tell us?" She asked

[Ren Negade]

"Hmm yes, there has been word on the streets that squadron of knights in black armor have showing up in the city and also have been camping out near the ruins at night."Replied Erika's grandfather.

"A bunch of knights huh, pfft, I can take them."Astral said with great confidence.

"Don't take these knights lightly boy especially their captain, he seemed to have an air about him that is best described as being....unnatural."

"Thanks for the warning gramps but it's not going to shake my confidence, after all you're gazing upon the biggest bad ass in all the land."

[Amber]

Aevin sighed.

"Ignore him. We'll be sure to watch ourselves." She told him, while shooting a glare towards Astral.

[Ren Negade]

Astral then suddenly collapsed down to one knee and was holing his head in agony. For the last ten years of his life Astral would suffer from chronic headaches that would sow up from no where and after the pain would subside he'd usually have some sort of insight as to what they should do next or as to what up coming danger they must face.

"Damn it, why now?"Groaned Astral.

"Here me O' divine weapon, you must head to the desert ruins and find the planet tablet and shatter it, only by doing so you can prevent the incantation from being read and successfully put a halt to the release of the imprisoned one, but be careful; One who possesses similar power will stand in your way." A Loud dominating voice echoed in Astral's head.

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"Hurry, there isn't much time...my power is weakening..."

Before Astral had a chance to question the voice it had disappeared. Astral had received message similar to this before but something was different; the amount of dire gravity the voice emanated this time around was far greater than any time ever before. It was partially because of this voice that he was travelling with Aevin right now. It had told him to follow the one close to his heart for she would guide him down the road of salvation and that she would bring prosperity to all of Dai-Gada.

[Amber]

Aevin watched Astral drop and just sighed.

"Now? Why is it that this never happens when you're in bed?" She asked with a small shake of her head as she waited for it to subside. Ericka quickly made her way over and was trying to do anything and everything that she knew of to possibly help with the pain that he was obviously feeling, which just caused Aevin to sigh, again.

When it subsided, she looked at him, an almost cold expression on her face. Astral would know though, that it was just how she looked when she got serious.

"What was it this time?" She asked, her voice mimicking her expression.

[Ren Negade]

"I'm starting to think we should take gramps warning seriously, even that voice that constantly contacts me said that there would be someone on par with our abilities."Replied Astral.

"Also, there's apparently a tablet of sorts that we need to destroy, something about preventing what he called the imprisoned one."

[Amber]

Aevin nodded, although she sighed aswell. Usually that was Astral's shtick, but she really didn't care.

"Alright, let's get going then. It'll probably take awhile for us to get back out there, since th ebirds are probably still worn out from the heat earlier."

[Ren Negade]

"Well they should be good to go by the time we head out tonight, so for the time being lets do what we need to do to prepare and get some rest at the inn."Replied Astral.

[Amber]

"And get you to sober up." Aevin added under her breath.

"Sure, let's go then." She said with a small nod before saying thank you to the man and Ericka for sharing the information. Once that was done, she headed outside and towards where the inn was.

As Astral was about to follow Aevin out of the house, Erika's grandfather handed him an odd looking ring and whispered something in to his ear. Astral was dumb founded temporarily before silently nodding and heading outside.

When they reached the town square there was quite the commotion going on. People had gathered to watch a female warrior take on a barrage of bandits. The woman had very tanned skinned and had almost a red-ish pink shade of hair with dark brown eyes. In terms of her attire she was rather revealing, she wore essentially a lightly armored bra and panties that allowed one to easily see the scars on her body. She also wore a pair of fur lined boots and bracers. She also wore a lion skinned belt that held a blade behind her waist.

"You bitch, hold still!"Ordered one of the bandits that lunged at her.

"She looks like she could use some help..."Commented Astral as he unsheathed his blade and ran in to the fray.

The woman was knocked down by her attackers and was on the verge of being attacked brutally, thankfully Astral stepped in and defended her. She watched as Astral countered effortlessly and sent the attackers packing. She felt as though time had stopped around her and and eyes couldn't pry away from Astral.

"Freaking bastards attacking a woman in such a large group like that....and all of you, why did you just stand there and watch?"Astral shouted, irritation obvious in his voice.

[Amber]

Aevin just sighed as she caught up with Astral and the woman. Once there, she just looked at the crowd, her eyes flashing bright yellow for a moment.

"All of are just inconsiderate jackasses." She hissed.

"I wish to know aswell, what was the reason for just watching, and now helping?" She asked, a hiss to her voice.

[Ren Negade]

"If only it were that easy."Announced a tall young man who from his appearance was of high stature.

He appeared to be around the same ages as Astral and Aevin and had shinning glistening skin with sharp blue eyes and long platinum hair that reached past his waist. His clothes seemed to meant for formal affairs and would be rather expensive to clean or replace if they got ruined. Beside him were two burly men that beside one enough they looked like a colossal mountain of flesh.

"Oh yeah, why's that so?"Astral snapped.

"And while we're at it who the hell are you?"

"My name is Drell and I just so happen to be the man in charge of the Death Rose syndicate." The young man introduced himself.

[Amber]

Aevin just crossed her arms.

"Really. Alright then, we care, why?" She asked with a bit of a snarl.

"Look, we're busy, so if you all would be so kind as to get out of the way so that we can continue on our way." She added
