Lola smiled and waved at him to show she was listening.

"No worries, I'll stay put."

Scythe would be gone for a while. In the meantime, it seemed Lola had company. Another guard appeared outside the cave, and it only took the creature a moment to figure out that there was an intruder lingering.

A shadow fell across Lola as the raptor creature appeared at the entrance to the cave. It was a male, similar to Scythe but lacking the feathers, and it was a golden color, not blue. He growled, glaring at the woman mending her dress, his tail lashing about. "Who the hell are you?!" He demanded, anger and menance in his voice. His sickle claws on his feet twitched dangerously. If she answered wrong, he would be ready to strike.

Lola shrinked back at the creatures harshness. She started to stutter since this creature was much meaner that Scythe.

"I-i was told that it was o-okay that I could s-s-stay here..."

The angry creature sneered at her and took a step forward. "Oh yeah?! Who told you that? This is not your village, human! This village belongs to the proud tribe of Dramidae! You'd better get out, and fast, human, before I slash you open from belly to neck." This creature was certainly nothing like Scythe, so it was a good thing Scythe returned when he did.

Scythe's eyes widened and he growled a bit, moving to grab the other raptor by the shoulder, pulling him backwards. The golden one stumbled a bit, cursing, then glared angrily at Scythe. "I led this one here, Rial. Go back to camp. She is under my protection."

Rial snarled and spat on the ground, his tail lashing about. "I will tell the Elders about this. She'd better be gone before we return." The other raptor sneered, glaring past Scythe to Lola, before turning and heading quickly into camp.

Scythe groaned lightly and turned towards Lola, his long ears low. "Are you alright? He didn't hurt you, did he?"

"I am fine, just a little startled is all...Who was that?"

Lola asked, moving over to Scythe.

"Are more like him coming? He did say he was going to tell your elders..."

(Sorry about earlier post, my computer was messing up. I fixed it up so it said what I ment it to say. I'm surprised you could tell what I was getting at, it was so messed up. You have got skillz, my friend.)

Scythe sighed gently and shook his head. "That was...well, he isn't important. We should probably get going, before the Elders arrive. I outranked Rial, but the Elders...well, let's just get going. We can find another place to eat the food I brought. It'll be like a picnic." Scythe smiled, but his eyes were troubled. Still, he moved out of the cave and into the sunlight, his feathered tail giving a flick. They would have to move quickly. He doubted the Elders would do anything, so long as Lola was gone by the time they arrived. Still, he wanted to put some distance between them and the village. He felt guilty, believing he had put Lola in danger, and he wanted to make sure she would be safe.

"Come on...we should get moving..."

Lola looked at Scythe with conserned eyes but nodded her head in understanding. She gathered up her things once more and went over to Scythe after she was prepared.

"Ready when you are..."

((Sorry to ask this, but can you start to give me a little more in the posts? Length-wise and in helping move along the story? I can't work very well with such short posts.))
