| Name: Corvus Carapelli
Group: Guardians... for now
Age: 19
Sex: Female
Orientation: Asexual
Occupation: Scout and Spy
Mutation(s): Major Positive: Animal Combination- Crow
Minor Positive: Animal Communication- Birds
Major Negative: Cannot Blend with Normal People... at all
Description: Corvus Carapelli is more animal than human. Her body is covered in black feathers and she has a beak instead of a mouth. Her arms are actually large black wings, with talons in the middle of the wings that serve as hands. When she has to wear clothing, she just wraps cloth around her areas that people want to see covered. She is tall, about six feet, and is very light for easier flying. Appearance wise, think the body of an Avoral with the face of a Tenga Warrior.
Biography: The genetic creation of Corvus was funded by the Carapelli crime family as an informant with her bird communication powers and a scare tactic for their enemies. She was pampered by the family and they did love her like a daughter. Then the police busted in and arrested the entire family, taking Corvus to a secret military base for experimenting. With the help of the Renegades, she managed to break free from the facility and start a new life with them. She is now on a special mission- "Make the Guardians believe you are one of them, and discover their weaknesses."
Other: She has a vast spy network of birds that span all over the globe and uses them to keep an eye on her enemies and to send messages between her and the Renegades.

| Yep! I decided to nix the "Bird Telepathy", so they have to at least be in shouting distance in order to talk to each other. I'll figure out how to jump into this now. Any suggestions?

| No problem! I would've joined earlier, but I waited until I had a decent character.

| I'm writing up a reply now. Bleh. It seems that in the past couple days, every time I've sat down to write something, something would come up and I'd need to do something else.

| Wah, I didn't realize how long it has been since the last time I posted in this thread orz
Anyway, as I said in the GMRP, I'm looking to revive a few of my dead/half-dead games. Some of them have been bothering me for a while, including this one, so I'm taking this opportunity to change a few things and hopefully make the game better.
I spent a little time pondering over what to do with this story. As some of you might recall, the story started in a school. When it first started, I was thinking going for more of a happy/normal school life, except that kids had special powers. Then it all became darker, not that I mind, and at some point, I felt like we needed to get out of the school environment to get more action... and then, well, you know the rest. A few people disappeared, then the game became slower and slower and all. I really love that role-play though, it was my first one here and all, and I'd like it to be alive again.
I was exploring different options the other day, thinking about what it should be. Here's what I came up with:
- Back to school: Basically, this option brings us back to the school model. Just a standard school, with mutant kids as students. It is either linked to the government/military, in which case the students are trained to become soldiers and special agents, or it is the property of some other group (scientists, secret society, group wanting to protect mutants, etc.). Although the final product varies, the school in itself works pretty much the same way: the students have normal classes, as well as special "training" classes, in which they train whatever power they have. They are evaluated on their progress and mastering of their abilities, and are sometime sent to do "missions" (fake or real ones, depending of the goals of the school's owner).
Since this is a school, the main characters will be teenagers, with a few adults for the teachers and other employees. The game would turn around their relations with each other, the development of their abilities, and some special actions (missions, special events, etc.). There is no real plot, although some special events could be planned.
- Starting where we left... or almost: In this option, the action follows the three main groups that were slowly developing in the role-play: the Guardians (good mutants/ sympathetic humans), the Renegades (bad mutants) and the Government/Military. The mutants can be young, but I imagine most of them would be young adults. The Guardians are basically mutants and humans who believe the two species can live together, and they try to protect both humans and mutants by helping the mutants in need and teaching them how to control their powers. Although, they don't all share the same opinion, some really wanting to help others while some just want to stay in their corner and wait to see what happens.
The Renegades don't believe they can live alongside humans. Although they started as a group of mutants escaped from whatever lab where they were created, hateful against the humans who treated them as lab rats, they now have gathered a lot of followers. Their opinions vary from "All human should die" to "Mutants should rule because they are better", with lots of variation in between.
The Military... well, you know what they are. They act as a barrier between mutants and humans. They do not necessarily want to harm mutants, seeing the benefits they could bring to the Forces, but they don't want humans to be hurt either. The current position is to keep the peace, although not all the important figures share those ideas.
As I said above, the mutants in this story would be a bit older. The story would be mostly about the Guardians, at the beginning at least. It is more action-based, but the relations between the members/ other groups would also be part of it. There would be some kind of plot in this, although it would require actions from the players at some point to decide how the story will evolve.
- Something else?: Yeah, well, I'm open to other ideas, as always.

So, since I believe players should also be allowed to talk, I want to hear what you think. In all cases, the role-play would start from scratches, although some of the things would stay (how mutants were created in lab, etc.). Characters from the old game can also be reused if you want.
BTW, if you were not part of the game before but would like to join/ share your thoughts, feel free to do so. I'd like to get more players into this, you know, to make sure it stays alive .gif)

| To be perfectly honest, I'd rather go with choice number 2 than anything else. No offense to the school setting, but I would rather roleplay crazy shennanigans, and randomness, than roleplay taking classes in a school setting. Even with the added bonus of school pranks that involved super powers, I'd probably have a hard time staying focused.
Besides, if the mutants aren't going to be socially accepted on a whole, what use would they have for a general education? They couldn't get normal jobs in the outside world. Well, some of them couldn't. Now I'm not saying that they would be accepted at all. But I think the mundies would have a hard time with working with, living around, etc. mutants. Even the normal looking ones.
However. The thought of doing missions (As stated in plot number 1) appeals to me too. I like the thought of having to go out and do something that could result in a random encounter. Though, it's been said that I'm not a very nice person to my characters.
More to come later, whwne I have the brainpower to figure out what the deuce I'm thinking.
