A lot of the discussions were awkward for me, considering i was the only non-Christian and the only Democrat.

Damn. Double whammy there. I'd probably get kicked out, I'm so blasphemous. When I was in high school, my friends and I would (playfully) mock religion at least once a day. ... we're terrible people...

Yea...the last year I was there, I told the teachers that I didn't agree with their religion, and one that told me not to talk in class anymore, and the classes were discussion based. Not being allowed to talk is a pretty bad thing.

I said stuff anyway.

That's good you did. Freedom of speech and all that. And that's just terrible, telling you to just STFU because you don't believe what they believe. I don't mind most religious types, but the ones who allow themselves to become completely blinded and prejudiced by their faith bug the crap out of me.

I'm 21, and just finished my Freshman semester (again) in the spring.
I had the option to start college when I was 15, waited until I was done high school(17), finished a 2 year degree, had a semester off, and started a totally other degree where only 12 credits(4 classes from one school, 3 to the one I am going to) transferred.
And my friends are worse. We talk about how Steven Hawkins raps, how Mario takes shrooms, how Peach is probably either a guy or loves the way Bowser does it, and what would have happened if Jesus was retarded. And most of us are Catholics.
