LadyHarpy and Maeve

[LadyHarpy]

"Alright." Sam said as she waited for Mel to go first since she still had the light.

[Maeve]

Mel headed in the new tunnel. It was a bit higher than the last one, and in better condition. Yet there was some broken rocks on the ground, and Mel caught her foot on one and fell on the ground. "Gah!" she yelled, letting go of the torch and using her hands to slow her fall. The torch ended its way in a nearby pool of water and the flame immediately ran off. "Just our luck," Mel said as she sat on the ground, massaging her aching knees and hands.

Sam nearly tripped over Mel when the light went out but quickly caught herself.

"Are you okay?" Sam asked.

[Maeve]

"Yeah, I think," Mel said. She grabbed her bag and started to feel its content, looking for another torch. "Can't... find... one," she said through her teeth, trying to reach her hand pass the heavy book to get to the bottom of the bag. "I'm sure I brought more than one."

Sam started to shuffle through her bag and pulled out a small gem. She whispered some words under her breath and it started to glow a pale blue.

"Here, it'll only last a little while though."

[Maeve]

Mel reached her hand to take the strange crystal. Though she knew Sam was a magician, and therefore knew she was going to see magical things sooner or later, she still hesitated a little before taking the glowing stone. She didn't love magical items much, having had some bad experiences with them in the past.

Mel got up and reached for the wet torch. "Hopefully, it will have the time to dry before your crystal runs out," she said, hanging the torch on one of her bags straps. "Let's go," she said happily, trying to get her spirits back. She then moved forward, watching her steps this time.

Sam followed quietly after Mel, hoping that the stone wouldn't run out any time soon. She couldn't help but find the cave even creepier in the pale blue light.

[Maeve]

Mel went on her way in the tunnel for a good ten, or maybe it was fifteen, minutes, without encountering anything worth stopping. After all, all spider webs and rumbles looked the same to her. Suddenly, she reached another room. It was smaller this time, like some sort of entrance hall maybe, as far as you could need an entrance hall in an underground building. The room was square and, on each wall, a door could be found. The only opened was the one leading to the tunnel the girl had just travelled through. The rest of the room was plain, as far as Mel could tell in the pale blueish light, with no decorations or indications about what this place could ahve been.

The catgirl stopped after entering the room, waiting for Sam to come in too. "I wonder where we have fallen," she said with a low voice, turning on herslef to look at the whole room.

Sam glanced around the room before walking over to one of the doors.

"Hmm, it's not every day that you find doors underground. I wonder what's behind them."

[Maeve]

"A man-eating squidger," Mel said, looking more closely at the doors to see if any of them had been opened recently. They were all the same though, with the same dust placed in the same place. The catgirl walked back to the middle of the room and sighed. "I hate this place," she said. She shook her head and looked at Sam. "Any idea of where to go next?" she asked.

"Well, we can't get out going back and this is really the only other place we can be let's try going through on of the doors." Sam said as she stood back a bit to get a good look at all of them.

[Maeve]

"Uh, yeah," Mel said, looking at the three doors once more. She didn't really feel like choosing either ones, so she closed her eyes and turned on herself for a little while, until she started feeling dizzy. She then stopped and pointed at some place in front of her. Opening her eyes, she noticed she was pointing at the middle door, the one in front of the tunnel they arrived by.

"Let's take this one," she said, walking up to the door and slowly turning the knob. The door let go a frightening sound as it opened, and Mel entered to path behind it. It was about the same size as the one they came from, but a bit cleaner. "You're coming?," she said, looking back at Sam.

"Coming." Sam said as she went in after Mel, letting her lead the way.

[Maeve]

Mel leaded to way in the tunnel for a while, without finding anything. After what appeared like an hour, she stopped. "Gah, there's nothing here!" she said. She didn't like the feeling of being underground, in a enclosed space, nd it was starting to show.

"You don't know that." Sam said as she stopped next to her. "You should look underneither the underneither."

Sam then proceeded to lick her finger and hold it up in the air.

"There is a slight draft. I didn't notice it until we stopped."
