| Self identity huh... well, take what you're actually interested in and build upon them. People are more interesting when they have their own interests, you know?
and this just popped into my head, but have you thought about throwing a party? If you want to meet more people and are looking for a relationship, a party might be a good way to do so. Tell your friends to bring a couple of their own mates that you don't already know, and a party atmosphere makes it easier to talk to new people.
And if drinking/partying etc isn't your thing, you can do the same thing with like, a big movie night or something like that instead. Tell people to bring a couple movies and get lots of munch in and just have a laugh with your friends and some of theres.
It's like my old teacher said... "The two things that will make you interesting wherever you go, are sports and movies" - i'm not into sport, but i LOVE my movies, and they provide hours and hours of great conversation, which is perfect when dealing with new people XD
