One of my friends (Medi Mint) on Solia had mentioned Midorea in one of her posts there. She mentioned that she spent a lot of time here, so I decided it was probably a really cool place, and had to come check it out.

I came here when I wanted more avatar sites to visit to get more traffic to my website.

Most avatar websites tend to have a very strong artistic base.

I stayed because I found it neat and the battle system was interesting.

And yes, this is the first avatar site I've seen-- don't gasp in shock, I tend to keep to what I know i.e. MWC.com

I found this site through the recommendation of a friend on another forum. We're both artists, and we were chatting in my art freebie thread there when she mentioned she was working on art for avatars here. Of course, curiosity struck me then and I had to go take a look at the site for myself. Since I had a free weekend anyway, I figured I would join the site while I have a few days of unscheduled time to figure out how things work. So far so good I suppose.

In any case, I'm very intrigued by the concept, and I like what items there are so far, although I do think the items seem somewhat limited for a site as old as this one. I wish the forums were not quite so quiet though. It's nearly impossible to find someone to chat with! It's rather crazy that there are over 4000 users here and rarely more than about ten people online at a time. Even those few people online don't seem to be doing much posting>>

Oh, gosh, it has been a while and I kind of forgot how I found this place. I think it was through another avatar site or my own searching...I can't remember which

@Sei: I do agree that it would be nice if there were more regular items updates. But I guess the wait in between just makes the updates that do come up more exciting because the users are so ready for them XD

As to posting, I am bona fide lurker on most of the sites that I am on. The post count is actually the third highest of all the sites that I am on. I've been chatting more though, when I get the time, because it is easier to jump in on a conversation than it is on a larger site.

Either that or all the regulars have a secret hideout that you have to be initiated into

The monthly items are all really nice though, I can see the pixilests take their time and put a lot of care into creating those items.

I have a tenancy to lurk a lot myself, but on a smaller site I am more inclined to come out and chat. However, this site is so small that half of the threads have been quiet for months. It's crazy slow xD
We need more active members :o

You bet it does. We get ravenous for them after a while of not getting any *eye twitches*

The ARI, I think, have always been done by Catghost, the admin. A lot of the commons and event items are done by the other pixel artists. Whoever they may be, there are some great pixel artists around here ^^

It can get really slow, but maybe if there is an increase in active users the forums will become more active as well

what gladde said! i really like this site and it bothers me how quiet it gets sometimes, but that just makes me want to post more to encourage other people to join in ^^ be a part of the solution and all that, ya know? :P

Well I've learned about this site, way before when I was still very active with another avatar community I am on, but decided to never join until now when I anted something different so I searched it up and looked at a blog about this site and finally settled to join in on the fun.

I actually found it via an advertisement on PokeFarm x3 Liked the artwork it showed and I've always been a fan of avatar sites so figured I'd join. Though I've only been here a few hours and I already love it ^^
