I'll have to work hard to get the silver up to buy the items first! lol, I'm rather reclusive when i'm new to a forum.

And yes, speaking french to annoy people. I know Kryztol in Real life and she does randomly talk in french sometimes, I can't understand what she's saying to it annoys me sometimes xD

Well, the deity base is not seen often on the forum, but I'm pretty sure you can get it from someone, or try to win one of the event's contests (or in another event, anyway). The mods often give away old ARIs like prizes, so it's just a mater of finding something you're good at and trying. And Wee will probably have some of the most recent ones to sell anyway.

The winter items are quite rare, because Midorea was a small community at the time of that event (smaller, I mean). But, as I said, I'm pretty sure I've seen people selling those recently. And the lotus items are pretty easy to get usually. I probably have a couple pairs of them, so if you can't find anyone selling them, just PM me.

So yeah, the stigma will probably be the hardest to get...

Don't worry, I was a bit shy at first too, but the people around here are really friendly. It's just a matter of finding something you like, and then finding a thread about it, and then you start meeting people and it becomes easier.

I do love the Centaur bases and things like that just fasinate me so when I saw them I knew I had to quest them.

hopefully, I can get talking in some threads and make a few friends and eventually get the quest items xD

Though, I'm very creative and very much a perfectionist, so I'm probably going to go back to MAD several times and create more Avis and just go "ooh, now i want that item" xD

There was a small event for Valentines and Easters, but the next important event is the Lotus Festival, somewhere in April/May, if Cat decides to make the same events as last year.

There might be some small competitions, but I doubt they will have something with "one ARI of your choice" as prize. That's usually reserved for the most important events ^^

Chatting is always a good idea. Or fighting. Or both... Gives you more silver faster!

I tried, twice. I won once and the second time I had to flee because I almost died.

And excuse my Noobish-ness, but what does ARI stand for? or mean?

A lot of people seem to have problems with the battle system, at least on their first days here. It's just a matter of having a good character, with a good strength, and a nice weapon. Or a volleyball could do, maybe, as it should be ok for a newbie.

ARI means Ancient Relic Item, the name given to the monthly items here.

What's a volleyball? I bought a few things from the Newbie shop, but I'm not entirely sure what to do with them.
How do i improve my character? I'm really confused by the battling part of this site >.<

Lots of people are ^^ It's just different from what you see on most site, so most people need a little time to adapt to it. But it's nice, and it can give you a lot of silver once you know how it works.

A volleyball is a weapon (also equipable item, I htink), bought a the weaponsmith (2nd page somewhere). It costs 5 silver and as 150 duration, but a really low attack. Doesn't matter much though, 'cause as a newbie, you will be ok as long as you can hit your opponent, which you will be able to do with the volleyball.

The items from the newbie shop each have specific purpose. The newbie weapon can be use to attack your opponent. I think the newbie's attack and defence spells do just what their names say, i.e one attacks your opponent and the other protects you, but I've never used them. I kinda doubt they have any real power though... And the repair hammer can be used at the forge to repair your weapons. Weapons all have a certain duration (x/y). When x reaches 1, you will no longer be able to use your weapon in battle. Normally it would break at 0, but Cat has put something that forbid you to use them to that point, because some weapons are special and cost a lot of money and it would be rather annoying to see them disappear. Though, it's only useful to repair good weapon, a.k.a not volleyball. If your volleyball breaks, go buy a new one, because it costs less than the newbie repair hammer anyway.

The main way to improve your character is through fighting. Each time you defeat a monster, you will get some experience (along with some silver). Once you get enough experience, you will be able to level up, and add one point to a stat of your choice. It's a bit long, but with time you will have nice stats and a nice character. You can also train your stats. Though, it costs a lot and I find it pretty useless. And finally you can erase your character and recreate a new one, trying to roll better stats and all. There's also other options (hover over "Character"), like changing your class and training skills and all, but it's not really useful for a newbie.
