| I've never personally took drugs but i'm 100% sure i've been high. How? I used to live in some bad neighborhoods and right next door and across the streets we had "drug houses". When every they had a party you could always smell it and it does not take much for a 8 year old to get high just from 2nd hand smoke. thank god we got out of the crappy place and into another.
My thoughts on drugs is i don't care if people want to screw themselves up but leave me out of it. I also think the laws are a useless laws and police should put more energy in catching killings, abusers and other such lowlifes.

| Not all drugs are bad.
I feel that marijuana has been stigmatised a bit by media and such, and it really saddens me.
A lot of nonsense propaganda is served to teens about weed, and a lot of "facts" that aren't even true are used as the main reason.
Compared to alcohol, weed is acually not that bad.
Alcohol:
- Damages liver.
- Is highly addictive
- Destroys peoples bodies permanently
- Kills irreplaceable brain-cells
- while affected by it, causes loss of motoric skills, removes inhibitions, makes people 'numb' to pain, slows reactions, makes peple emotional, and reacts with testosterone in a way that wakes some people just go blind with anger
- Kills thousands of people each year due to overdose
- Works negatively on fertility
- Makes men's wahoohoos sloppy and soft.
- While affected by it, you lose control of your body and your reactions to things. Driving is nearly impossible, speech is impaired, and what comes out of your mouth is usually not good. The most dangerous thing about alcohol, however, is that people who are drunk are not aware of how drunk they are at all. They think they are not drunk at all, or that they are not as drunk as they are. They also think they have more control over themselves or their bodies as they really have.
Marijuana:
- Harms your lungs a little, like any sort of smoke would. It can, however also be eaten.
- Is not very addictive, however, some people who smoke it every day might become slightly addicted
- Might be a little dangerous to smoke if you have heart-problems or any signs on psychosis
- Is not, in itself a cause of paranoia and anxiety. The anxiety some people feel is from the fear of being caught. Anyone with half a brain should know only to smoke it in places it's nearly impossible or them to get caught. Personally, I have never felt 'noia', because I am a smart person who keeps reminding myself that "The cops being the cause of that noise outside is so unlikely it's almost funny." If the shit was legal, the fear of being busted would no longer be there, hence lowering the number of people who claim to have become paranoid because of it drastically.
People who are genetically or environmentally pre-disposed of paranoia or psychosis, might have it worsened or even triggered by Marijuana, although any drug might do that to them.
- Does not, contrary to popular belief, kill brain-cells. It numbs them down temporarily. Studies have even indicated that it heightens brain-activity a little.
- Slows reaction time a little, but the user is fully aware of this
- While affected by it, you still have control over your body and your head. Although it does cause you to act a little 'silly'.
- Contrary to alcohol, weed does not make a person more aggressive, it usually makes you feel more passive and happy.
- No deaths directly related to weed alone has been recorded, like, ever. It is literally impossible to overdose on it (overdose in the sense of being poisoned and the likes)
- While weed does make it easier to postpone things and feel lazy, and some people on it do act like dumb and lazy fuckers, you still have control over yourself. If you want to be lazy, you will be lazy anyways. If you want to act stupid, you are going to act stupid.
- Although some people claim that weed is a 'gateway drug', I do not agree completely. The reason why people who smoke weed are easier exposed to other drugs, is because that due to it being illegal, they have to go thru dealers to get it. In order to find peole who sell it, they need to know 'certain people'. Those kinds of people usually do, or know people who do heavier, more dangerous drugs.
If weed was legal and buyable in stores or something, I think people would see a number of other-kinds-of-drugs use go down quite much.
- Weed is and/or has been used as medicine for: Giving cancer-patients their appetite back, sleeping medicine, libido enhancers (sex is effing great when stoned!), depression treatment, it is the number one most effective medicine for calming down the effects of MS, it's used for ADHD medicine...
Some studies even indicate that it can help cure or/and prevent certain kinds of cancer!
When I have kids, I would rather have them getting high than getting drunk.
I myself prefer getting high to getting drunk.
I stick to things that won't kill me or fuck me up permanently, thank you very much!

| i know a lot of people that prefer being high to drunk. unfortunately, i prefer the feeling of being drunk to the feeling of being high that you get from weed. XD to tell the truth, i was kinda addicted to alcohol when i was about 15... i dont want to say alcoholic, cos that makes it sound very very bad. i didnt get drunk all the time, but i had at least 1 drink every day. which is really bad, especially so young. luckily i broke out of that habit tho...

| I don't really understand it myself. I have never had the desire to pick up any illegal substance. I barely have a desire to drink and I'm 25. I've never even smoked a cigarette.
The mentality is a mystery to me. Even were I located somewhere that some of these substances are legal at, I still would have no desire to try them. I more or less have to be forced to take pills that are good for me, much less do anything that would be bad.
