| The only one I ever met who made Magical Girl stuff seem cool was Pupnutie. But we were talking about some of the few good villains in them so...yeah. Agreed on the whole magic thing then.
I talked to her recently, and she told me three myths and four fairy tales that she liked for me to choose from.
Myths: "Izanami and Izanagi" from Japan, "The Silken Tassel" I think from China or Korea *can't remember*, and "How Saynday Got The Sun" from North America.
Stories: "Thumbelina," "The Tinderbox," and "The Traveling Companion" by Hans Christian Anderson. The other is called "Diamonds and Toads."
Let's say it is a bit of both of our faults. It most likely was anyway.
Yay. When should we star? Should I send you my guy or whatever?
Yes she is. She slammed out a poem once when we were throwing ideas and I yelled out "Digimon." It was bomb too.

Also, the title to the last fairy tale was "Diamonds and Toads" or "Toads and Diamonds." It is a French fairy tale by Charles Perrault.
You could also do Nursery rhymes or such as well. Every song, lyric, or poem contains a story/message that can be turned into a story.
Enough about any poetry slamming shenanigans. Especially ones that were made with crappy "themes."

As for the ledgends and fairytales I looked up all of the ones you suggested and Im not really seeing a lot of wiggle room. I mean I read one on cinderella called "just ella" and it was fabulous but it was set AFTER the fairytale. Not to mention hoodwinked did the same thing really. Do you have one that you'd particularlly like to do?
Also yeah, Toads and Diamonds the title rang a bell as it's one of my favorites but I hadn't read it in a while.
Well what do you mean send me your guy? For which rp I mean.
Ahhh poetry I should start doing that again. I miss it.
ALSO Very extremely sorry for my length of absence, end of the year craziness.

With "Thumbelina," there are several versions. As with several other legends/stories. It isn't so much as lack of wiggle room, I think it is just a lack of what to do where. I'm tempted to get Pup in here to see if she could help us out. This is (one place) where she shines.
Pup read it to me. I loved it, too. I can't find the book it was in though. Pup got her's from a relative.
The one with the Love-web thingy.
Not much for poetry myself, but I do like giving Pup random themes to do hers in. But she's focused on Rps, Stories, and trying to get her stupid scanner to work.
That is fine. I wasn't on for a long time too. Pup just told me that you were being active right now and that it would be a good time to get started.
I know how that is. Pup has this WWW thing where she goes bowling for a week and is far away now. Then the two of us has a ton of essays and stuff to do. ugh.
