So I'm Making Lasagna and...

. . . I really have no idea wtf I'm doing. My cooking skills include making mac n cheese and cakes out of a box. My mom ave me some very, very vague instructions and let me do it . . . she's off at a meeting somewhere....

So I might be killing dinner as we speak...letting it go to long. I took it out and it wasn't done yet...too cold... IDK....

And the best part is that there's a slight chance the pan might explode if it gets too hot. Yaaaaaaaaay

So....any cooking horror stories you'd like to share?

Cooking horror stories, eh?

Well... there was this one year where I attempted to be a chef/cook. Yeah, bad move on my part. But that's beside the point. Anyhoo, there was this one time that I was in a baking session, making layered cakes. We needed to shave the sides, so everything looked even, and the cakes stacked properly.

Some dumbnut behind me wasn't paying attention and bumped into me while I was working on the top. Next thing I knew, there was a bread knife burried in my thumb. Being sharp, I hardly felt a thing. But then, I didn't feel a thing. I could have damaged nerves and things. And judging by the lack of blood pouring out of the currently stopped up injury, my knife might have been blocking the blood flow to the injury. Or, I managed to miss the vessles.

All I could think of was, "Hmm... that's not good. I wonder if I need stitches. Better tell the instructor."

Needless to say, she freaked, as did my classmates.

I remember a long time ago when my brother and I decided to cook a cake for mothers day. First of all, I should mention that I was 4 and he was 5. Okay, well, how did we cook it?
Simple:

1. Take a pan from the cupboard (and ignore all the others that fall onto the ground)
2. Pour milk in it- warm milk
3. Cut up bananas and put them into the pan with the milk
4. Put in a teaspoon (or perhaps 10) of sugar
4. Put the 'cake mixture' into the oven
5. Turn any dial on the oven until it seems that you have turned it on
6. Wait an hour or so. You can usually tell that it's finished when smoke starts to come out the side of your oven

I don't have any horror stories like that . . . though I have exploded a glass pan by accident... sort of scared the living crap out of me, since I didn't even know it was there at the time and I had my back to it... resounding boom throughout the house, everyone comes running and's all, "WTF DID YOU DOOOOOO?" And I'm like, "I DON"T KNOOOOOW D:"

I would have said something along the lines of that, shook my head like I was disappointed with them and then, once out of sight, I'd probably quickly run away, hah. c:

lawl. I was too surprised to come up with anything. And I'm not real great with speaking. Writing is ma' thang, not talking XD

I think that I may be better at writing;
I also fail at talking, but for me it's mainly talking in public.
In front of crowds, rooms etc. when everyone is looking at me xP
Needless to say, I don't deal well with pressure, hah.

Writing is my thing. I'm going to study it at college :3

Yeah...I'm good with talking in a group, but if everyone suddenly looks at me and I have to say more than a few sentences, I suddenly clam up...also because I don't make a lot of sense when I talk. My mouth moves before my brain processes what I'm going to say...it's terrible.

We are pretty similar judging only on our speech ability (or, perhaps disability).
I hate writing stories, and then having to read them to people;
So, mainly I just tell them to read it themselves (in as nice a tone as I can manage) XD [/code]

God. Okay. So. On my stories:
People who know me know that I'm really freakin' shy, and they usually don't ask to read anything I'm writing (though this one friend really badgers me about seeing my art, which is horrid and I have no self esteem in), because they know I won't read it to them or let them read it....also, I suspect they don't WANT to read any of it, because they're not really into writing....blah..../reflects on loneliness

So...I went to a camp where I was a junior counselor, and when I was sitting in the lounge with all the other JC's, I was writing something in a journal, being all quiet like I usually am, and one of the guys asked me to read them a story before bed, which set them all off, and I'm just like "Uh....NO." ...but they kept asking me day after day after day ;A;

I did not like eet. o no

And really?
So you're sitting there all smileyly (hah?) and then they pester you to read them a story and your eyes start twitching and such, and your lips curl in a frown, also quivering as a slight growl escapes from them. You yell 'no' at them, and then they shut up and your face morphs back into a happy mask XD

It depends....when I'm around my friends, they're just like "Oh, you're making your noises again" . . but it might be kinda weird starting college where I don't know anyone...making my weird noises...

I havent' made them so much since my freshmen year of high school, but at the end of my senior year, they started sneaking up on me again... Must be a freshmen thing...
