| I've realized that we've socially reached a time where the "norm" is exceptional. People are praised for being what they call "unique" which is honestly quite odd. One could say that we're simply more open to out-of-the-box ideas but it seems to me that people are trying too hard to be unique, to even be considered unique in the first place.
Now, this isn't a hate thread. What I want to discuss instead is what makes you unique as an individual. No strange makeup, clothes, anything. Nothing that you "try" to be unique with. I want to discuss things that aren't publicized, like personality traits. I think that that's where true individuality lies.

| I tend to be really grumpy and "old" for my age lol... I went out to the town a few days ago, had to cross the road so I walked to the traffic lights.
A load of people around my age (nearly referred to them as kids.. Same aaaage), just walked across the road in front of a load of cars and made them stop.
I found myself muttering "Yeah sure, walk across the road there, these traffic lights are far too far away for you to come over here", and an older woman who I didn't notice next to me laughed and said "That's exactly what I was thinking!"
I'm definitely not trying to be grumpy.. I've tried to be a cheery person before but it failed so hard o\ And people tend to mistake the grumpyness for bad mood, when sometimes I actually enjoy poking at/complaining about something... Not sure if that's a good thing at all o_o
Still, I don't mind the grumpyness sometimes, my random gripes about things tend to make people laugh xD

| It's hard to pin down what makes me unique when asked... but I will attempt.
Well, I have a bizarre sixth sense when it comes to what I should be doing- for example, I was walking with the kids I was babysitting when I suddenly got this feeling that I should go home. Turns out I left the front door unlocked. This kind of thing has happened more than once.
I'm also supposedly the perfect chaperon. If a friend of mine is heading out to meet some guy that she met online I'm always the first person that is asked to go with her just in case. Maybe I have this bizarre way of either making my friend feel safe or intimidating the guy out of doing anything funny, but I'm always the go-to girl for those situations.

| I love you, Chu <3
you just always manage to see things differently... but that's better, too.
I think what makes me individual/unique is probably my honesty, openness and self-awareness. I value truth a lot more than most people around me seem to, and nothing flares my inner rage like being lied to.
As for openness... People always open up to me, and i think it's because I in turn will open up to them, and if someone shows me their vulnerability I won't be judgemental. I can be VERY judgemental at other times, but if someone has chosen me to tell their secrets, fears, etc, then that is not the time or place. I think it's incredibly important to listen and be compassionate and understanding, whatever the topic of discussion, if someone has chosen to come to you with such a thing specifically, over anybody else. Wether they're close to me or a stranger (and I get a surprising amount of strangers that open up to me, tell me things that they haven't told anyone else. I have no idea why, but that just seems to be the way of it)
And self-awareness... Well, I guess you could say i'm a little self-obsessed. But not in the sense that it's all "me me me" - more like, I spend a lot of time thinking about myself - every aspect of who, and what, I am. Why am I the way I am - How did I turn out this way. What makes me think the way I do. I suppose you could say one of my main "goals" in life is to truly know myself. and it's a difficult task, but also, rewarding.

| I always see things differently. Every day is different from the last, and my choices point that out. Our frame of mind is what leads us to the future, and to what future we end up in. It took me near-depression, loneliness, and a lot of anger and frustration to figure that out. If you can't follow your dream, then you are going about it the wrong way. The most direct path is straight to the end, but we are often distracted by things that aren't needed. For example, you can blame others for things, or just take the blame and be done with it, you can make excuses, or you can just deal with the truth. The positive choice might be harder, but it makes things easier in the long run. Just shoot for the stars and keep going until you get there.
What makes me unique is that my mood/temperament changes extremely quickly, especially for a guy(no offense). I also can cook something and have the ability to "store" tastes in my head and retrieve them and make food resemble the taste. For example, today I wanted curry, so I retrieve the taste and made some curry. It wasn't perfect, many of the flavors were off, but for a first shot, it was pretty damn good. Best of all, like many Indian curries, it went extremely well with bread.
Back to temperment, I go from optimistic to pessimistic to creepy to warm and etc very quickly.

| Well, I forgive people way too easily. It seems like most people are good at holding grudges. I actually don't like being unique in that aspect. Of course I think I can't hold grudges because I'm not good at getting angry in the first place. My default reaction to negative stimuli seems to be sadness. I'm more likely to cry than to get angry at someone for doing something mean/rude to me.

| Unfortunately, I have very odd temperments. I will anger easily at some things, and others take a really long time to bother me. Usually repetitiveness gets to me, that's a major per peeve. And I can hold a grudge really well, but lately I've been trying to teach myself to let go of those grudges. I'm finding it hard, but at least I'm trying.

| I completely understand that whole "trying to be unique and just come off like everyone else. *cough*emokids*cough*
Anyways, I myself think I'm very unique, though I'm sure there is another person out there that looks similar to me and acts like I might act and might even possibly think the way i do...but I haven't met the wonderful man yet so I'm unique till then..
What makes you unique though, I'm not really sure..
I guess me as a whole package. The way I handle things and think them out...the lil odd things I do...like dancing it place when I'm standing still. My sister pointed it out to me..I do a lil jig on one foot and then bounce to the other quickly and repeat it...she says i always do it when I go into the fridge. xD;

| aww... that sounds really cute, branny XD <3
reminds me of one of my closest friends. she used to always suddenly burst out singing "boop-ba-boo-boo-baa!" for no particular reason XD it was so sweet. I on the other hand just have a habit of poking my tongue out and/or wagging it all the time o.o;

| I do that too ecco xD The tongue poking thing...
I have a longish tongue though so I'll end up my nose without noticing (NOT picking it lol)
And I used to burst into song randomly but people think I'm weird when I do that so I try and repress it >_>....

| haha oh man i burst out into "song and dance" all the time, too x_X except its more, i'll start "singing" whatever i was gonna say instead of just speaking normally... and the dancing is more... spontaneous wiggling and jumping around hahaha XD
i have a long tongue too! wee! it's 2.1 inches last i measured it XD (that probably sounds really weird... but everyone always comments on it so i wanted to see, plus then i checked against the world record hahaha!)

| My song singing tends to only happen when something is actually a song.. That doesn't make much sense so I'll try and make it make sense.
Most common one is when I'm talking to someone and they'll say "When you think about it" ..
For those that don't know/care about Stereophonics, they have a song that has the lyrics:
When you think about it, he's watching every word you're saying, day in~
So I'd probably end up singing that unless my repressing skills are working xD
Link to the song if you're interested, intro is ridiculously long though.

| I am an individual because no one else has my social security number.
Nah, actually I have no idea what makes me an individual. Maybe because I don't spend an excessive amount of time thinking about if what I am doing is individualistic? I just try stuff if I think it'll be fun, and if it is I'll do it again. If not... well okay sometimes I am a masochist. (Looking at you, Intermediate German I and History of the Modern Middle East courses...)
Hmm as far as my music... I like a lot of bands other people haven't heard of... not because I'm any kind of "hipster" or anything... I actually like to share their music as much as I can so other people can enjoy them.
Uhmhumhumhumh... I am awful at describing myself. >.< If anyone wants to know anything just ask...

| I've got to many things odd about me that I think I'll post one every day. XD
I've got a lazy eye, and it makes me looks off center. At first glance, you'll notice I don't look quite right, but you wouldn't notice that its my eye.
