Chat Cafe

As you enter the cafe the strong aroma of coffee takes over your senses.

You look around at the delightful arrangement of wooden tables and chairs and then you approach the wooden counter where a young lass stands with her back to you arranging items on wooden shelves.

She turns around as you take a look at the cakes and slices she has on display and you notice your mouth watering already.

"Welcome to the Chat Cafe, dear," the lady announces. "What can I do for you...???"

She hands you a menu that holds a large selection of different meals and desserts both savoury and sweet and you feel like this could also be the menu list of a classy restaurant as well as a delightful cafe.

"You don't have to order now dear," she says whimsically. "Just sit and relax and feel free to chat with the other patrons. Everyone here loves to talk and eat and you're always welcome."

Then the lady hands you another slip of paper, you notice at once that this one isn't a menu. It contains a sort of code.

"Oh, this is just in case you would like to have a "Chat Cafe" banner in your signature," she smiles. "You don't have to, of course. I just like to see new faces as much as old regulars. All you have to do is copy and paste it into your signature and it will look like this..."

The lady behind the counter happily hands you over your steaming mug.

"I'm Lani by the way, It's nice to meet you."

Kitty, Kitty Rayven...pleasure to meet you. So what gave you the idea to set up a coffee shop in Midorea?

Lani grinned at her bustling quaint little cafe.

"Personally, I'm not a fan of the taste of coffee," she announced as she served some of her customers. "But, I adore the smell."

Pulse smiled and took the coffee up "The smell is nice"

Reminds me of when I worked in a perfume shop.

Well, we used to have to smell the purfumes. It's interesting really...

Sometimes customers would come in and want something with a specific scent. Part of our training was to identify individual scents in each perfume. That way, if a customer came in and asked for, say, something musky with a light fruity scent to it, I could recommend Burberry. Did you know that Babydoll is made up of rose, lilac, pine, and grapefruit? But it smells different on every person!

But if you smell too many at a time, they start to blend together...so we had lil sachets with coffee beans in them to smell between purfumes.

It's like having cheese and bread at wine tastings....cleanses the pallet.
