| so today was my frist day back to school.
i loved seeing everyone again, i had a lot of fun.
but apparently they changed the schedual to AB, meaning monday i have four classes and tuesday i have four different classes, alternating each day. so basically my classes are like every other day. which sucks.
i got into AP world history, the one class i got with my best friend. i was excited. we had to take a test today and i spent about two hours on homework. on the first day. i'm not even done yet.
i'm going to have so much fun this year.

| Oh, a few high schools in my area do that. :[ Mine doesn't, and I'm glad for that. It would give me an extra day for homework, but I'd probably end up getting too confused.
School starts on the thirteenth for me. :] We get our schedules on the fifth and I'm really excited. I get to take Psychology this year!
I took AP World History last year. We had two tests a week, and I suck at any social studies class. We took a test at the end of the year and I got a 1 on it - no recommendation. XD
But it's cool that you got a class with your best friend. :] I know I'll have at least Japanese with Raz, but I hope I get more classes with him. I hope I get them with a few other people too.
Bah, now I'm all excited... er. :zippped:

| Yeah, the extra day for homework is nice, but i'm not enjoying the fact that we're going to have twice as much work to do. i heard finals are even worse on this kind of schedual, too.
why is everyone else starting school in august? i feel so left out. D:
haha, all the seniors at my school take AP psychology 'cause they say the teacher's pretty chill and it's an easy A. ;D
everybody says AP world history sucks, and i know it's gonna be freakin' hard, but i'll tough it out if it looks better for college. :/
Japanese? that's heck of cool. ;D
we've only got french and spanish at my school 'cause we're not cool.

| Yeah, the people I know that go to those schools quit complaining about the annoying schedule by the time midterms/finals come around, so I wouldn't know. XD
Haha, that is pretty odd. What state do you live in?
Everyone says our teacher is okay but there's apparently not much to say about him. xP I guess I'll have to find out for myself when I get the class.
Yeah, there's a ton of content to stuff into one course, which I find completely stupid. We'd be on a whole new country and time period every other day. I just suggest not falling behind with what's being taught, because with so much to cover, I doubt the teacher will stick with it for too long before going to the next subject.
We have those, and Chinese and German. I wanted to take German for two years just because it's interesting, but I can't because I was required to take a business class last year and this year I'm required to take arts and humanities. Next year though I don't know what I'm going to do to fill up my schedule. I'll be a senior and I DEFINITELY won't take another science or social studies class, so that will leave me with half of my schedule unfilled. xP

| I am dreading junior year of high school.
I am taking AP US History which I like, because I love history but it is so difficult! It's summer and I have to outline the first three chapters, write essays and who knows what else. I'm taking Algebra 2 which will be tough because I struggle in math and I have a different teacher who is stricter. Then there's English 3 Honors which means super huge essays, Anatomy which should be fun, Theology which is good (I go to a Catholic school), French which I'm pretty good at and two SAT prep classes.

| I'm going into my Junior year too. :]
I am NOT looking forward AP U.S. History. I'm really hoping that it will be a tad easier than last year's world history because we'll have less content to cover, but I doubt it. Luckily Raz is taking the same class and whether we have it together or not, he's going to help me. In exchange for me helping him in English and Japanese he'll help me in U.S. History and Biology.
I'm really looking forward to Algebra II. :] Last year I was in geometry and hated every second of it. Algebra, however is easy for me. ^^

| Geometry went well with me, but some things I disliked. The main probelm with math is the teacher. I had the best teacher in 9th and 10th grade who went at a good pace and explained everything clearly and was patient with students who needed more help. I'm not sure about my new teacher. Good thing I have friends who can tutor me.

| I hated it because to me that class is boring. I'm also not a visual learner. The teacher wasn't the best though. xP I didn't turn in half of my assignments and passed with a 99%.
During Freshman year, I had a pompous teacher that just loved making kids he didn't like feel stupid. He was also a pervert though, so my being an intelligent girl got me on his good side. It's not the best way to, but as far as I'm concerned, I learned the content, excelled in the subject itself, and did my work. Girl or not, I deserved that A.

Ehh, maybe i'll get used to it. But as of now, I still hate the schedual. ;D
and I live in California.
That's going to be really tough for me to keep up in that class. It's the third day, and i already feel terribly lost.
haha, i want to see how many periods i can get off when i'm a senior.
i'm in my third year of a language already, and i'll be done with math when i'm a junior. so hopefully i won't have to take many academic classes later on.
ooh, i'm in algebra 2, too, i'm really looking forward to it.
ahha, everyone i know hate geometry! I thought it was a fun class.
;D
In eighth grade, everyone said the science teacher was a perv and looked down all the girls' shirts. i really doubt he did, but the thing is, those girls would wear these sshirts that were so low cut, that it's like they want everyone to look.

I think that is cool, my high school was not like that except during Star test week, and that is pretty much how College works, each class is on a certian set of days.
Starting on the 31st, I have Intermediate Algebra the last math class I need for GEs THANK GOD, on Tuesday and Thursday. I have Astronomy on Monday's and Wednesdays(I need a science class), and on Wednesday Nights I have communications(another class that make me take :P).
I am studying Liberal arts in Junior College, and hope to try out acting and possibly make it my minor. I would have looked into it this semester but the catalog had not theater classes listed. I will likely have to talk to a counselor.

Good luck, I know what it is like to only have one class with your best friend, mine always had almost a full schedule of AP classes throughout our high school years, the one year we had more than one class together was Sophomore when we had both Spanish 2 and PE together right next to each other. Other than that I only had one class with her per year. Except actually my senior year might have been Zippo I am having a hard time remembering everything I had....*thinking, as its bugging me now* OK yeah I remember now yeah I had nothing with her in my senior year.
I am not an AP student that is what made it difficult to have a class with her because she took AP of pretty much everything. The classes I had to have with her were Spanish and PE as I mentioned and Photography, you know classes that have no AP level. But the good thing is that it was easily made up for, our mom's had a carpool system where they would alternate days picking us both up. So we got to see each other at lunch and after school and of course we would hang out at each other houses on the weekends for sleepovers. So I still saw her even though classes were hard to have together.
I hope it works out for you and your best friend.

To-day was my third day of being a sophomore
It was so great to see all my friends. There was lots of screaming, jumping up and down, hugging, and I almost got bit by my cat Dylan[he's allways dressed as a cat, with ears and a tail, and I'm his master. =^-^=].
I HAS 4 HONORS CLASSES!
I iz smart. Andreallyhyperrightnowforsomeunknownreason.
My school is awesome, we have an Aerospace program where i'm working to get my pilots license for FREE! And an honors class I'm in is geometry. I love math. =^-^= *still hyper*
It's also awesome that in ALL of my classes I have at least one friend in them. =^-^=
'tis awesome.
<-- LOVE that thing =^-^= *hyper*

| I got my schedule and such today and I'm pretty excited for school still. :] I get to start the day slowly with an easy Arts & Humanities class, then go straight to Algebra II to get in the mood to work. <33 Then to PSYCHOLOGY, boring US History, Japanese III, crappy Biology, and I actually get to end the day with English, with a teacher I love!
I think my Japanese class will be cut short by lunch but I don't mind all that much. I'm just glad I have it fifth period because by then, I'm usually getting pretty tired. It'll wake me up just enough for Biology and then I can just chill out in English and finally get back to socratic discussions on books. <33 So much fun! The teacher's preference of books is similar to mine so I have a feeling that I'll like our assignments, not to mention he adores me and my writing style.
Oh, and I have US History with my friend Clover. She's probably the closest thing I have to a best friend considering neither of us care about one. XD But I'm glad that I can share a boring class with a hilarious person.
I hope I get more than Japanese with Raz this year. I think he took Psychology too, so that means we'll have the same exact classes. It doesn't mean we'll have them together though.

| Lol so far I seem to be the oldest one in this thread, everyone here is talking about currently being in high school lol.
And Chu as I have stated in PM I think you are very lucky to be learning Japanese that is a high desire of mine as well as visiting the country itself. I do actually know some words that my best friend taught me(she took one year at her college). I have a list of words she taught me written down but I can't actually pronounce most of them
You are also very lucky to be taking History with a friend, one mine had AP of all the time. I only had History with her once in eigth grade before all the AP started. That was a lot of fun, we sat right next to each other and would pass notes in conversation.

| I'm outa high school, but I'm taking four child development classes in Fall semester. Which starts August 24th and runs through December something-or-other. Lucky for me all but one of my classes is on campus, the other is at an off campus location. It won't be hard to find, though. At least, I hope not.
My daughter starts jr. high on the 25th. She'll have an AB schedule too, if I remember right. I can see why it'd be irritating, but if you only have to carry four books a day that's a lot easier on the shoulders.

| Duuudde, i stayed up 'til three writing my essay for history, so apparently my dad turned off my alarm and let me stay home today so i could get some sleep.
@newdivision; homework over the summer is stupid.
good luck with your math class and teacher, i hope you do well. (:
@Vampire; good luck with all your classes. c:
Do you get a three day weekend, no class on Friday? I have like no idea how college works.
and thanks. [:
yeah, i sit right behind my friend in history. we're too lazy to write notes, so we just talk the whole time, 'causing trouble and whatnot. ;D
@Micamone; oh my gosh, i just saw this guy at the movies with cat ears and a tail! :D
geez, good luck with your honor classes. i don't think i could do four at once, that'd be too stressful for me.
i love math, too! all my friends hate it, though. i can never find anyone that likes it.
@Chu; ohh, i love art in the mornings. i have ceramics first period on my A days.
crappy biology? i loved it. ;D err, actually i just liked it 'cause i thought it was easy, and the teacher was really cool.
and yay for english last period! i don't like the teacher, but there definately is this cute guy that sits behind me. ahahha, i'm such a nerd.[:
dude, our schedules seem so similar. i have my language class right before lunch, too, and then science after that.
good luck with Raz, same thing happened to me and a couple friends. we have the same schedule, but no classes together. wouldn't want that to happen to you, now. /:
@Yaneci; how do you take four child development classes?
like, yeah... i just don't get it. how does that work? D;
i used to be able to share my locker with friends that couldn't use theirs because it wasn't remotely close to any of their classes. now i can barely fit all of my books in there. nine books and seven binders shoved into one locker isn't pretty.
edit; holy crap. that was probably the longest post i've ever written in my life.
