There are always other people out there Hiro. If she was stupid enough to handle the situation that way then that's her fault, not yours. I understand your mentality but I also understand that saying you're great isn't going to help. You just need to pick up your feet and go out there again. From now on, maybe you should just refrain from expressing how much you care until the relationship deepens. Women like secretive guys anyway.

On a side note, all great people have problems. All great people go through shit like this. Everyone has to deal with these things, but what truly makes them great is finding a way around the shit and getting a happy life.

I care too much about people too. I love and hate with all my heart, and since a lot of people either can't accept that or simply don't feel the same way, I'm always getting hurt too. I've found that cutting myself off of people only helps for a short time; I've tried. What helps is not letting them know how much you care. To refrain from cuddling with a person you have feelings for, or to refrain from calling them things that would let them know that. To not let people know how much you care does help, because that gives them room to breathe and let their feelings grow. People aren't like us. They need time and space to grow. You just have to grant that.
