Age and Midorea

As I look around Midorea I realize I’m pretty young compared to most Midoreans, and that kind of surprises me considering that from the start, avatar sites have been kinda geared toward teenagers, haven't they?

Compared to a lot of other sites I've been at/seen, Midorea has a pretty mature crowd, so maybe it relates to the age of our users.

So, what’s your age and at what age did you begin getting on avatar sites? What age do you generally expect a lot of people to be? Are you surprised whenever you find out the age of fellow Midoreans?

I started out in avatar communities back in 2003 with Go-Gaia. I've been addicted ever since.

I'm not sure if I really expect someone to be a certain age, because if I don't think about it, I feel like I'm still 19 or 20 and think everyone's my age. I do prefer the communities that have rules against spamming it up and the like, those communities tend to attract a more mature crowd, so I don't feel like age is really a factor there.

I'm interested to see how old everyone is. *nods*

Nuh-uh, I'm just pretty young. XD I've always been around the mature crowd, everyone kind of always assumed I was older than I really am.

Oh, I started with avatar communities in '06, so I've been around since I was... thirteen; barely old enough to get on Gaia. xP I'm sixteen now.

I really don't think much about age honestly, unless someone brings it up or I see a picture. I saw some people talking about it somewhere and I got curious. o 3o;

Apparently Midorea does have a more mature user base. Which is exactly what I was hoping for.
Hopefully it will stay like that, but you never know...

I guess it's not too bad, because I still feel pretty young. Yeah, I won't tell you how old I was back in 2003... older than 16 though >.>;;

If people are intelligent, funny and literate, I don't really care how old they are, I'll enjoy being around them ^_^

I'm twenty-two. I usually expect most people on avatar sites to been in their teens and twenties, with a few people here and there who are thirty and older. I started avatar sites when I was seventeen and joined Gaia. I've found that now that I've been out of high school and all for a few years I don't really relate to teenagers as much and sometimes I look for the older crowd on avatar sites, but not always. I'll be friends with or talk to anyone regardless of age as long as they aren't really immature.
