Those pesky creatures are hard to catch! but you can buy them from reptile food stores i think.

Oh I remember one of my friend from grade school could catch them by their butts!

Yeah, but those in store here are not fresh enough to my taste. They have that weird old grasshopper scent. Not good <.<

Yeah, you have to catch them by their butt, otherwise they bite you, and it hurts really bad, being bitten by a giant grasshopper... Plus, like that, they can't jump away and pull you into their swing... But they are hard to get like that, 'cause you need to get pretty close to them...

I had one let it crawl all over me he was fun to play with, he'd eat the lettuce i gave him and everything

I loved visiting him. I think he died or was squished, cause I never saw him the next year.

yeah well I read the posts before so I already knew that I was just trying to relate by telling you about my grasshopper friend...

you know their legs pop off when they are stressed.

No their tails detach as a survival mechanism leaving the pred munching on the tail, doesn't work with my cat.

much like a certain species of sea cucumber extrudes some of it's intestines for the pred to eat while it slowly makes its get away.

grasshoppers legs popping off is because their muscles are so strong they pop off.
