New inventory look?

Okay, so this is probably a really dumb thing to be bringing up at the start of an event, but it's on my mind, so... XD

The way our inventories are currently set up is really annoying to deal with. I dun' like clicking through 7 pages to see all my stuff. If I'm trying to send someone an item, it get's really annoying.

(Yes, I know they're alphabetized. But still. XD)

Could you consider recoding them to give them a nicer look? Something easier to work with, perhaps? ; A;

What exactly are you wanting though? I'm not clear of your suggestion.

Personally I'm fine with the inventories, but not for or against any change in them.

Possibly, like, all the thumbnails of your items lined up in rows in a stylish box. Then when you hover over it, all the info pops up?

I dunno'. Something more simplistic like that would be fine by me. XD

Well, they've changed it recently.

I think I see. The problem with that, however, is that some items need to be opened. (Box of Chocolates, Bag of Silver, ect.) That type of system wouldn't allow us to open them.

Wait... flying giftboxes on Gaia. I don't even remember how that was worked out.

Gaia has lots of items you open. You click on the item and it asks you if you want to open it.

I agree with angel that something abit more compact might be in order. But i don't think the gaia system is the best with the size thumbnails we have for items. So i dunno.

Yeah, I was just trying to find something familiar to base my idea off of.

I know that Mido's overall layout is always being worked on, and with the event, upcoming ARIs, and other things, Cat's pretty busy. However, I'm sure in due time we'll have a change in that. From what I've seen though I doubt it'll be any time soon.

I should really ask her what she's seriously needing from that developer. XD


But anywho, you could make the system work the same rather easily. Simply have it so when you select an item it's like checking the box. It'd be simple to code and work all the same. :D

Nonetheless, she'd basically have to re-code the whole thing for a minor part of the website. I'm not against updating it, but it's just an inventory; things like that can be worked on on the side.

Wouldn't take more than two or three hours at most. Err, well, unless she was making custom graphics and such to make it super sexy, that is. XD

But anywho, I know it's a trivial part of the site. That's why I'm in, like, no rush to have anything done about it. XD

Personally I'd rather see other small things updated before that, like thumbnails and the fishnet stockings. x_X

Lulz, I sent Cat the fixed fishnet stockings a while ago, but I guess she never got around to updating them. XD

I'm working on a new layout, new new layout. Everything is going to be new! Including the inventories and shops.
The rollover thing was kind of what I had in mind, but then you'd have to rollover each and every stick until you find the one at 1 duration THEN select it and delete it.

Hm... That is a problem.

Frankly I like the inventory. You need to know the strength and duration of your potions/weapons, and that's just too much clutter in a tooltip.

The one change that I would like to see is stacking items. However, I see the problem with that too, as they have different durations.
