Well I just joined and figured I'd say hello. I have nothing better to do with my time at the moment, so here I am.

Very amused by the D&D layout of the character thing... just used my D&D character D: except she's a Cleric and not a Bard.. hrmm... yep, now that I've outed myself as a total nerd, I'll just be heading off to bed. XD

Awsome, i love dnd. Though i have to say i never played a cleric, except once for only a single weekend in 3.0.

Have you converted to 4.0 yet? I havn't as it doesn't seem to be my thing. : \ Abit too optimised, also they ditched my favourite class. D: </3 (druid) That being said druid was really really easily abused in 3.5 so i can understand the theory behind it.

The stat set up is pretty much universal across most rpgs now days though. So it may not have had an influence directly from there even if that's where the idea gained popularity. You'd have to ask cat. : )

Uhm, D&D... I haven't played for more then ten years, due to a lack of players in my area. I'm probably a bit rusted now.

I think the battle system is directly inspired by D&D, since this site is using ADR (a mod for phpBB), and I remember seeing the description saying it "had a D&D-like battle system"... But anyway, glad you like it ^^

... oh, and yeah, welcome to Midorea! Hope you will have a lot of fun with us! <- should have put that at the beginning of the message o.O

Well first off, thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

heyy13 - Yes, we've converted to 4.0. It's battle-intensive, but it's pretty fun. They didn't get rid of druids! O_O;; Where'd you hear that? That would be.... tragic, at best. Druids are love <33

I mean
I have a strong distaste for DND 4.0 I think its too simple and doesn't make enough sense anymore. I've always liked 2.5 and 3.5, but 4.0 just really killed it for me.
We should RP sometime. The RP folder looks like an anorexic ditz on hunger strike!
I came up with that just now. Wow. Okay anyways yeah. Role play.
