| Oh I thought i explained. . .whoops XD
Her tattoo is meant to be a shoulder down to elbow tattoo. The little part that branches off the straight downward line is means to move slightly onto the back. I have never made a tattoo that moved over the body like that so it was a little. . . interesting to do.
As far as the clutter. . . I guess I can see what you mean. . . but if she likes it thats all that matters.
and then for mine. I left the guard undersigned and the handles i didnt finish on most of them. it was more of a simpler quicker kinda sketch. there is a reason behind all the items in the art. So I wouldnt go with another type of sword. Also the blades could be more elaborate on the katana just as they could on any other blade. . . XD just not sure its needed cause it would be a shoulder tattoo and the katana wouldnt be that big honestly.

| OHHHHHH.
I see it now. Makes a lot more sense. I guess the large oval part would be near the socket joint while the rest spreads out across her back and side... That's pretty freakin' sweet, kudos on the design. I end up usually doing more angular designs for tatts, never for myself, I'm afraid, always on my characters I write stories for or what have you.
And for yours, hey, I like it, it suits you best. A shoulder tat like that can't have too much detail, that much I know. All the tiny lines with a needle and swelling to account for during the process makes details very hard to do for any tattoo artist.
So far so good, and I wish you the best of luck. They look really good so far.

| I am early twenties, almost 22 actually. I wasn't planning on doing the corset piercing permanently, just a temporary thing... for the pleasure I guess. I have a high pain tolerance. I use to live in the south... I still do, but now I'm further west, so it's a little more open out here. Old folks don't glare at me much, and some actually say "hi". :P

| Hiro - Well, the other two variations weren't posted up of the wolf, tiger, and katana shoulder tat, so I can't really say.
What I REALLY like was that tat you did for your friend. I love tribal stuff like that that do more than just touch one part of the body. I like folks with ink on them, but probably would never get any myself. <3
Raven - Oh really? I live in the south, mainly stereotypical wise, but not geographically. THE MAP LIES. It's the bible belt area, so, there's more Baptist churches than banks and gas stations put together where I live, if you catch my drift. Not to mention the REDNECKS.. Oh my GOD can I PLEASE JUST SHOOT BUBBAH JUNIOR!? @@ (I love Jeff Dunham but that puppet really just makes me TWITCH.)

| Seriously? Anytime I went with my mother, we always ran into all the mormons and such. Which is probably just as bad, if not worse. @@ Omg I hated being a part of that religion. No offense to anyone else who is a member of that church, but omg. It annoyed me it was so strict. At least the branch I went to was. It drove me insaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaane.

| @Raven - Aff you poor soul. That's when they dunk you in the tank of water and you're like, stuck there for life or something. I hated going to church with my mother. Almost four hours of absolute DRIVEL. But I've never really been religious. I was so mad that I found out I couldn't have the cartlidge hoop I wanted when I was in my teens. I don't think I could tolerate the pain now, but I still humor the thought of getting my upper ear pierced, just for the sake of having one and because I love hoops.
@Hiro - I actually really like what I see. The double Katana looks the best, I think, with the shoulder tat for yourself. It seems more conflicting, like the two animals are. <3 Your tribal tat work is fantastic, I love it. If I wasn't so scared of ink poisoning or needles, I'd demand you design one for me. But alas, I am, but you get the idea. xD You're great with vector type art, that I could never get into. I'm trying to, though. It's hard for me to visualize things like that.

| wanna know a secret to 90% of my art. . . XD
I do the vector style art as you call it. . . I just call it abstract doodles. . . But i just start drawing. . . or start with a center circle or two and then either use straight sharp lines or curved smooth lines to connect the two. Randomly erasing pieces and parts and what not. . . .
A lot of people seem to say they cant do it. . . Maybe it helps that I am a little crazy. . . XD
and thank you for all the compliments. So far most people have seemed to like the double katana tattoo the best. I think I agree and thats why I have done some touching up too it and most likely will scan it again or re draw it soon.

| You should totally go get it! Although I don't have any piercings in cartilage I've heard that if the piercer is good enough you may not even feel it. I was never baptized, my mom gave me a choice and I never felt "ready".

| @Hiro - Really? I'm more angular with my tribal sort of things. Not a lot of curves, mainly just straight lines and what have you. If I had an example that I didn't think I'd throw up at, I'd show you. I love doing tatts for the arm on the socket joint that comes down, then tatts that are on the spine that wrap around along the rib cage and sides down into the pelvis. Legs, not so much, I hate drawing legs. Bleh.
I would have loved being a tattoo artist, but I don't think I'd have the patience or the constitution to do it. I can't stand touching sweaty, dirty people. It's why I couldn't be a masseuse, even though I give fantastic rubs.
Raven - I've heard that it takes over a year to heal, though, so that's mainly why I'm kind of hesitant to get it. Also, I don't know how my grandfolks would feel about it. I live with them rent free 'n all, so what they generally say goes. I might do it, and like, get a bauble for the first year or so while it heels, then switch it out for a hoop. I wear my hair down all the time anyway, so they won't notice it if I don't mention it. I got a friend who can take me to do it or something at some point.
And Aff, I wasn't given that luxury. I was raised it since I was two and quit when I turned 18. My mother was trying to force me to go onto a mission. I'm like, 'I HAVE TO HAVE MY INTERNET. AND THE BOOK OF MORMON IS BORING. GIMME MANGA. I'LL CONVERT MORE.' *shot*
