| Have a soft spot for a particular kind of art (sculpture, drawing, chalk, painting, photography, pottery, writing, etc.)? Share it here!
Why do you prefer the style? Any particular places you go to see new art?
Have any examples/pics of your own that you find beautiful/moving?
I like watercolors.
Yes, I know it's a tree house.

| My favourites have to be digital art of the sort where the linart is done by hand, then scanned in and had the colours and shading added by computer. It's just so damn clean. And I've never encountered an abstract like this; I have an almost pathological hatred of abstract art.

| I'm someone who usually likes all different types of media depending on what my subject matter is. I'm mostly a CG and sketch artist so I tend to do those more of course.
One of my favorites to do for just a way of self expression would have to be 3D design. Sculpting, using clay or being innovative in any way to turn objects into a work of art really relaxes me for some reason. Either that or the fact I like using sharp objects lol.
Painting is also one of my favorites depending on what I'm painting of course. Landscapes work much better for me when it comes to that. Same goes for watercolor.

| @Kathira Yeah, digital art is gorgeous. I love going onto Deviantart and looking at what people have come up with.
@Sharm That's awesome! The one with the lava is my most favorite. You should post some of your stuff. :3
@Maeve What are you most favorite 3D things to do? Clay sculpting? Pottery?
I used to be really into metal work. I made a self-standing suit of armor out of twisted wire. It was awesome, but I lost all the pictures of it. The thing ended up being taller than I was.
@Zen Yeah, I love 3D art, too. Wood work has always been my favorite even though I haven't do it in awhile. I got into wood burning for awhile, too.
So I found this girl on Deviantart and I LOVE her work! This pic is my current background. http://sylar113.deviantart.com/art/Paper-boat-427571682

| That paper boat pic is totally gorgeous.
I make surreal and abstract art... other than that it's good old fashioned pencil, pens/ink and paint shop pro for more typical comic/manga illustration. Manga and DC style help me learn the rules, then I break them all in the surreal and abstract stuff in order to dive into the unconscious.
I can't say I have any preference in terms of appreciating art, but I am drawn to visionary art along with surreal. But I am constantly humbled by what can be achieved with good old oil paints. These two pictures are from a mystery artist, somebody sent them to me once and I just haven't found anything yet that compares, wish I knew who did them:

| @Saygen40 Think so? Okay. I mostly do tileset work so that's what I have examples of. The sprite base on the third one isn't by me, it's by Redshrike, though I did do the hair and dress.

| Ahh! Sharm, I'm sorry! I never responded!
I love your pixel art! Makes me nostalgic about all those old Gameboy games in black and white. I love the details, especially in the waterfall and leaves. It's awesome that you're able to do this!
