| Elements have been totally re-worked on Midorea, and I’m here to walk you through them. As you probably know, Midorea has more elements than most games do, but I’ve created a house system of elements that should help straighten things out. Now, I understand if you don’t want to know the why or the how behind what element beats what. If you don’t, jump to the end of this post and see the big hierarchy alone.
We have four Main elements: Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind. Now, you may expect these four elements to follow a pattern like Earth>Fire>Water>Wind>Earth, but that’s not the case. The individual elements aren’t connected to each other: they just rule the four houses. So, it looks more like Earth House/Wind House/Water House/Fire House. Let me show you the houses before I go any further.
Earth: Darkness, Metal
Fire: Bacon, Energy
Water: Ice, Poison
Wind: Light, None
Within each house, one Minor element beats the Major element, and the other Minor element is beaten by the Major element, placing the Major element right in the middle. It looks like this:
Metal>Earth>Darkness
Energy>Fire>Bacon
Poison>Water>Ice
Light>Wind>None
Now, you can just put the houses together, and you’ve figured out our new element system!
Metal>Earth>Darkness/>Energy>Fire>Bacon />Poison>Water>Ice/>Light>Wind>None/>Metal

| Chuuu...
When you get the chance, could you look at the relationship between metal and Earth? The chart seems to say that Metal should resist Earth, but instead of that, Metal element seems to take extra damage from earth element.

| Everything is in order for both elements and spells. Please send me a screencap of the problem.

| Here's a post detailing all the discrepancies.
First and foremost, this works under the assumption that magic damage is based on a formula that randomly selects either 1x, 2x, or 3x enemy level to be the raw damage. Here are multiple screenshots to showcase this, whereby element-neutral enemies all consistently hit the exact value of 1xLvl, 2xLvl, or 3xLvl. Enemies are diverse and in a large range of levels to showcase this consistency.

With that out of the way, here are the two elements in question:
These are earth enemies, so based on the established baseline above, they should do (1xLvl, 2xLvl, or 3xLvl) *0.75. However, they instead for (1xLvl, 2xLvl, or 3xLvl) *1.5, as shown in these screenshots.

Similarly, this Bacon enemy should do *1.5 damage, but instead does *0.75 damage.

I could get more screenshots if needed, but hopefully this is enough data to start off at. D:

| Recently restarted my character for the better stats and I'm trying to pay more attention to the game mechanics. In the case of Elemental Damage, could you clarify how Elements affect the damage output in these scenarios. (Really just looking for a "x is stronger than y" type response). I think your graphic may be out of alignment order if I read your post properly.
Metal vs Darkness (same element higher vs lower)
Darkness vs Energy (adjacent element lower vs higher)
Earth vs Fire (adjacent element center vs center)
None vs Bacon (non-aligned element lower vs lower)
Poison vs Darkness (non-aligned element higher vs lower)
