The Engineer class is what I consider to be the go-to class for people who aren't familiar with shooters. That's what I started with, then I moved on to the Heavy.


There's nothing wrong with The Sims. It's a quirky little game that you can do a lot in. People give it crap for not being a "real game" because it doesn't have action or an obvious plot, but they're just being closed-minded, I think. If you pay attention to the different households and everything, you can tell that there is a pretty detailed plot. It's just more of a free-roaming plot than what you see in most other games. And I think it goes without saying that a game doesn't need action to be considered a "real game."

Now, it deserves some crap for the bugs and poor maintenance. But that's a different thing entirely.

I have Neverwinter Nights on my laptop, as well as the Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark expansions. It's pretty fun.

I'm not a fan of shooters either~ But it's one of my favorite if not all-time favorite game.

Ah, and the classes are the best part. Medic, Sniper, Spyyyyy <3 :U And... all the others... They're cool too.

I have been, and always will be a tactical sniper in FPS games. I don't care about all those people who sit there and cry "camper" because I'm killing them from the same position for the last thirty minutes in the game. If I find the position I'm in to be strategically beneficial to my game then I will use and defend that position until it is no longer a strategic advantage for me.

Also, just because you sit there and try to goad me into an one on one match doesn't mean I'm suddenly going to change my play style if I accept. While you're running around trying to 'quick-scope' or 'no-scope' me, I'm going to find a corner that can be easily protected in all directions and sit there waiting for you.

I am a tactical sniper, therefore I am going to be using sniping tactics to play. Which is sniping from cover at a set position until my position is compromised and then moving on.

Not COD tactics.
A sniper rifle is not an assault rifle.

I get motion sick with any 3D game which means I dislike all FPS's. I mostly just play DS, smart phone, and indy stuff now. Anyone else in the same boat?

hmm i find something similar but only with certain games... the one that did it the worst was Guitar Hero! I think i focus so intently on a certain point of the screen that everything else blurs and makes my eyes hurt, and then i start feeling... not exactly sick, just "weird" in an unpleasant way D: haha.

i can't think which other games have given me that kind of feeling now, though >.> typical memory, hehe

Been playing alot of old PSone games lately. Currently playing Breath of Fire 4 on my psp and digimon world 3. Fun stuff.

playing Diablo 2 as well.

PsOne games are pretty awesome. Breath of fire 4... I think I have that... if it's also available on psone. It's the one with Fou-lou? (sp)
I never got too far in that one Actually I've never beaten a Breath of Fire game besides Dragon Quarter. X.X Which is a bit different then a normal Breath of Fire game. Though they are really good games in their own right. Just never really got to the end. XD
Digimon is okay. I have number one. I hateee that they die of old age and you need them to go to the bathroom, and they ask you for like x4 food then what is given to you daily and. and... They're just so iffy when it comes to evolving. X-X;
I like pokemon better, no offense. XD Though I just got into playing pokemon recently.

I have Diablo 1. Not all that... graphics were pretty bad, difficult, too. Is number 2 any better?

Yeah, BOF4 is originally on the PS1 but I bought it on the PSN for my psp. So i play it on the go. xD;

BOFDQ was bad..I couldn't get into it at all..everything about it made me sad.

Digimon World 1 and 3 are VERY different. DW3 is more like pokemon. you get a digimon team, fight random monsters, trainers and Gyms and slowly become the Digimon World Champ.

Diablo 1 is soooo old...I have all 3 games. Diablo 3 is fun the first time you play but after reaching max and running a few hours, looking for gear gets old fast. D2 is better in the sense that it has better drops and farming isn't as boring as D3.

Well actually those were my exact thoughts when i first played it. It was hard, never really got into it, but after reading various faqs about it, I tried with with intention. I slowly got into it. It took a bit but I did it. It's not too bad when you get into it. It's a unique game where you can start over anytime you want and you keep things, so I started over like. 3-4 times, keeping the party exp, and on my 'im gunna beat it' try, i used all the exp to level myself up enough so it wasn't so massacre-ingly hard. XD But i MUST tell you, the final fights in the final dungeon are EPIC. The bosses have barriers that regenerate, and theres like a whole 'elite team' that goes against you with their own special abilities, the music is awesome, I just like it. My favorite boss was fought on a giant checker board where it depends on where you end your turn on. A red square is bad, blue is good, yellow is neutral. I don't know, I thought it was neat.

Ah. =-= Yeah I read diablo 1 got such high scores but I really don't like the game so I was like 'wtf'. /:

I perfer baldur's gate and champions of norrath to that, though...
