| He sighed.
"It's a long story..." he said.
He then proceeded to tell her what had happened at the building, what he had to do to her to stop her from hurting or killing herself, what had happened when he and Anna went to the place, and the state of the apartment when they had returned... including her.
"So yeah... once again, you're lucky to be alive." he said.
'More than you know, little Kiczys...' a cloaked transparent and invisible figure thought, as he made his way out of the apartment.

| Kalin sighed before getting a rather massive chill running down her spine as an invisible figure left the room.
"Why... do I get the feeling I was just being watched...?" She asked before shaking her head.
"regardless, thank you. And I'll have to thank Anna later too."

"Dunno what you mean about being watched." he said, before hugging her.

"It's not safe here... for any of us... we need to move away from here as quickly as we can." he added.
"How soon do you want to head back to Canada?" he asked.

| "Well, until then... we should be very careful about where we go. and if we go alone." he told her.
He then picked up his cell phone and dialled Anna's number, holding it to his ear.
"Hey, Anna, Kalin's awake and alright." he said when she answered.
"How's the cleanup going?"

| "I'm just about done. Just need to replace the blood I cleaned up from him shooting himself, so that it's not a bloodless murder." Anna told him.
"And that's the hard part." She added with a sigh. It was never easy for her, or Rene, to recreate bloodshed... and have it match the DNA of the one that was killed.
"I should be done in about half an hour though."
