Blue is so hard to achieve D: Because the natural hair colour always gets in the way. I've never tried blue... but there was once this guy I saw in Hong Kong with the most beautiful blue hair evarrrr >w<
It was so smooth and bright. Grrr so jealous. He probably had to bleach out all of his hair colour before he could put in the blue. Or else the blue would turn ashy or green. Ew.

No, seriously, I think most unnatural hair color looks better if they are paired with toned down shades that look more natural (like orange with copper-ish brown, or blue with blue-ish black). Sorta makes them look more natural, like some special highlights or something.

Hm yeah, I've never really wondered how hard it would be to actually get a real blue color, but I can easily understand the problem with any hair that aren't white. Stupid color...

This is right up my alley.

Bleach? Never! No! Not in a million years! Why? It melts your hair. It is all right for short hair you get trimmed anyway, but for anyone who loves their long hair it is an absolute no.

What to do? Use strong, professional blonde dyes. It might take a bit longer to achieve the white blonde shade, but at least you get to keep your hair. If you know and can afford a good hair dresser, absolutely do it, though doing it yourself is always good. I always do it on my own, and have great results.

Pick a brand, pick a shade, test out a strand. If your blue turns green or your green turns blue, use a white toner or mixer. It will render your hair white, so you can use now any shade without worrying how it will turn out.

There is even less harmful chemicals in these cream dyes. It is actually just the colour mixed in with conditioner.

It all also depends on the shade you want. If it is a medium or dark shade, one lightening treatment will do. If you want something extra light, you need white blonde or white hair.

I think that is the basics of it... I have been dying my hair for over 5 years now, so you can trust I know at least something. ^^

I have extra-long hair... and i bleach it LOL. Well, actually I only bleach the short hair on top, the long hair that reaches me bum is mostly left black. I use cream bleach and it usually turns my hair gold [like a lion's mane <333], and then after a while it settles into an orange much like Ichigo [from Bleach[ would have if he were in RL.

I like doing it on my own too :3 SO CHEAP IT'S FREE ~

Yeah, last time I just had brown streaks. And I was thinking...something bright would be cool. But then not the whole head yet....yet....or maybe never. lol

Reika- Well, I think it depends on the guy. Same with most people.
Also there's a guy on Youtube called Tom Milsom who has really nice blue hair.la dee dur
I have black hair so I don't think I'd dye my entire hair, if I did it prolly have to be brown or something like that...like a plum colour.

Actually, I found the most awesome cutest things in a book, during class. Because that's what we do. Not finding the cutest things, but looking through books to find inspiration. Last two discoveries where from a book about design or something like that.
