How do you come up with your names?

[Biomecha]

I like the biomechanical look as a theme...it helps keep things focused. It also helps a bit with character development for creating avs. Since they aren't fully human at times, or are completely artificial.

[Deux]

Deux is the French word for two.

On another site, I was originally Deux Ex Machina, because Deus Ex Machina was taken at the time, which is a literary term. And then I just decided to chop it off because I was tired of people asking me if I was the same Deux Ex Machina on Gaia. xD I was not.

[Perish Song]

Perish Song is the name of a move in Pokemon.

I started using it a while back on Solia when I got tired of the name I was using on there, and so I decided to use it on here as well.

I hardly ever actually use the move in game; I just happen to think it has a really cool name, and most of the other moves I like the names of (like Doom Desire) didn't really suit me.

My brother once had a WoW character who was called 'Araver'.
I like(d) the name and i put an 'a' behind the name -

Tadaah, a female name was created.
So now I use most of the time the nickname 'Aravera' in the internet.
Some time ago I found out, that this name is meaning 'lightning' in Guarani but I'm not sure of that.

My screen name here is the name of one of my oldest roleplaying characters. In my first ever pen and paper game, which was a game of Exalted, I played a Fire Aspect Dragon-blooded named Seijre Zara. His name was actually created by putting random letters together until I liked what I saw XD

I've used Seijre in one or two games since, always with the person who originally played his lover, Veris Iselsi. We've transplanted them into various worlds in online roleplays, expanding their stories and working out various plot lines involving the two of them. Currently we're playing a game on Crysandrea and making up our own mythos for that site since it doesn't seem to have anything really set yet XD

Actually, I was torn between Miriallia and Rhathymia (which means happiness, or something, but that was my sister's major user name for other websites, so I didn't choose it)
Miriallia is a character from an anime ... I instantly took a liking to her name

My name is nothing original. The idea came from a player from SC2, who had the name TotalBiscuit. :X I was making a Solder Front account a week ago and I had a hard time deciding ,so I just went with BiscuitQueen ,and now it's stuck with me.

Pretty simple, my name is Ash. I try to have my usernames have some kind of connection to my actual name. That way I won't have to try and find which one of my millions of rp characters I named my account after.

"Sly" is spelt from every other letter of my real name...now I bet if you care enough to think about it, you'll know my real name.

Haha, mine came about somewhat oddly...

I saw the name Kimi and liked it...so I decided to make a character by that name. Then I decided that I wanted her to have a "title" rather than a last name...only, I wanted the title to be in a different language.

I finally decided that her home base would be some sort of a glade.

So I took the Spanish word for of (de), one of the Spanish words for the (la) and then took the latin term for glade (laetus). Only, de la laetus looked and sounded funny....so I smushed it together.

Altogether, it means "Empress of the Glade". Wootwoot.
