| Hah! I try to stay pale too XD
I don't like being in the sun, I'm very much an indoors person.
And when I get stuck out in the sun for a long time, I do burn pretty easily

| I try to stay out of the sun as much as possible, which is easy, since lately I sleep through the day.
I much prefer being pale, and I can't really tan anyways.
I just burn, and then go back to being pale. o3o

| I used to like getting sun kissed when I was younger by going to the beach or pool, but a few years ago I had a skin cancer scare and now take pride in staying pale. -The biopsy was negative for those who are concerned-.
If I am going outside, I slather on a bunch of sunscreen and sulk in the shade otherwise I burn, peel and then tan a bit.

| Despite being rather pale and living in the south, I've never experienced a sun burn. I tan pretty easily if I do get sunlight.
Currently I try not to tan, and will wear sunscreen. Mainly to avoid the damaging effects. Being either pale or tan suit me fine, though.

| I enjoy my paleness very much. When I was a kid I spent so much time in the sun that I looked like a blond Native American girl. Now, even if I were to try to tan, it wouldn't take as well.
Oh, I'm sure that if I spent enough time outside, or in a tanning bed, I could get that same nice shade of brown I was before, but I don't want to. I prefer to lessen my risk of getting skin cancer. Not to mention, I just think pale is prettier unless you have a naturally dark skin tone.
I would prefer my nice creamy complexion to the dried up leathery look I have seen on chronic tanners any day.

| I had one really bad burn experience. I couldn't lift my arms for about a month.
After that I avoid the sun at all costs. I'm pretty pale too.
I think I'm missing a lot of vitamin D tho so I started taking calcium pills and drinking more milk to get the vitamin d I need.

| I am really, really pale (with freckles everywhere but my face, I kid you not). I come in your choice of pasty white or lobster red. In other words, I do not tan. I burn, and then I peel and go back to being pasty white.
So, I tend to use a nice strong sunscreen (or wear long sleeves, or stay indoors). The one I have now is SPF 70 I think.
But I have really dark hair, so it's nice and striking looking with pale skin. If I wanted a tan look, though, I'd get one of those sunless spray tans or something (and then continue to use sunblock).

I tan more often than I burn, actually. I've never had a bad burn.
That sounds terrible, Kimi. T_T I've only burned my scalp once, but not nearly at that severity. |
It wasn't too bad...if only because now I know its better to just suck it up and put the sunscreen on than to get burnt.
Also, I have a story now~...only it's not about me XDDD
A person-who-shall-remain-nameless was in a contest of...shall we say, wits...with her mom and refused to put on sunscreen whilst being outside and exposed to the sun all day.
She got burnt worse than I ever have.
I saw her about a week afterwards and she was STILL bright red.

| color=mediumvioletred]I don't really care until its too late. If I know there's a chance I'll get burned, I'll put on sunscreen, but I'm rarely out enough to need it. I used to be able to tan, now I can't.
And Raz is from Michigan where it was dry? I used to live in Grand Rapids, and compared to where I am in Wisconsin, it was so humid and there was soooo much precipitation.... And fog... I miss the fog.[/color]
