Lotus Festival Roleplay '10!

[Maeve]

"Uh," Maeve said, feeling someone getting closer. She opened her eyes, only to fall face to face with a tentacle. She jumped a little, but quickly realized it was Squid. She sat up, resting her back against the tree. "Oh, hello Squid," she said, with a smile. She noticed the creature was handling a sort of small doll, apparently made of lotus petals. "It's for me?" she asked, finding the item really pretty. She carefully reached her hand and took it.

[Squid]

''Yes. Do you prefer a girl, or a boy?'' Squid asked, reaching now for a slightly different little petal doll, this one with a grass braid tied around the head.

''I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you.'' Squid added quickly. I just remembered you from the festival last year.''

[Arabesque]

[[ Squid held out the rest of the rice ball to the strange creature with the tail ''Would you like a bite?'' it asked, though it didn't stop heading for the trees. ]]

Fram was slightly taken aback by the kind gesture. The creature didn't seem at all aware that he was afraid of it and Fram found that fact strangely endearing. He shook his head, smiling, "Thanks, but I've already eaten today." He noticed it appeared to be heading straight in the direction he was going--toward the lotus trees. Fram could see the large, bright-pink blossoms even from a distance.

With a shrug he decided to follow the creature, standing back a few feet an strolling along at quite a leisurely pace when he realized that the thing was heading straight for a girl that was laying among the trees. A friend perhaps...?

Realizing that his presence might be awkward and imposing, Fram wandered off to the left a ways, finding a particularly large lotus tree under which to sit. It was quite a comfy little spot, he decided as he pulled out his lyre and began tightening the strings very carefully. He then gazed about at the beautiful scenery, plucking the strings of his beloved instrument in a nonchalant fashion..

[Maeve]

"Oh, I'd like a girl, if you don't mind," Maeve said, exchanging the doll she was holding for Squid's one.

"I wasn't really sleeping, just trying to remember... uh, never mind," she said, blushing a little. It felt kind of weird to say she didn't remember what she had done before. "Anyway, want to seat with me?" she asked Squid and the few people following it. There was plenty of space for all of them around the lotus tree.

((Didn't we play volleyball together during the summer tournament too? Anyway, I need to go now. See you later!))

(Oh, God. Volley ball was so intense lol)

Squid smiled and nodded, relinquishing the girl doll to Maeve while rehanging the boy doll among the others tied around its waist. ''Sometimes remembering is fine, but maybe you forget so you can do something fun again.'' Squid suggested to Maeve.

Squid gladly took a seat next to Maeve, tentacles settling all around. Since Fram had not taken the rice ball, Squid took another bite of it, this time chewing it while doing its best not to show off the bite.

With the tasty meal and the relaxing music coming on the warm breeze, Squid realised that a nap actually would have been very relaxing and pleasant right now. Settling back in the soft grass on its side, Squid picked up a fallen lotus blossom and once again began plucking the petals off.

Squid began making yet another doll, this time making a shorter grass braid and tying it around the middle. A tail. Squid looked around for a moment, thoughtful, then one tentacle stretched up to its very limit and picked off a small twig from the tree closest to Squid. Squid bent this twig and tied the two ends together, to form a sort of U shape with a blade of grass, twirling two more blades down the middle.

Squid got up and went to present this new doll, complete with tail and lyre to Fram, eyes shining very happily ''I made you''

[I walk with Time]

Luna had fallen asleep, curled up in her wolf form with her wings wrapped tightly around her.

Eclipse was unable to find sleep, so she just sat there before looking back at her wings. One of them was in a splint, and the other five had minor cuts and and two of them bled again when she moved certain ways. She tried to stand, but failed, one of her legs buckling underneath her. She looked at it and could see the bone jutting against the skin sickeningly. She made a face and sighed. She ran a hand through her black tipped silver hair.

[Arabesque]

He had been in a bit of a daze, lulled into a strangely enveloping calm by his own music when the Squid appeared nearby. The music stopped abruptly, but only for as long as it took Fram to remember where he was, who he was, and what he was doing. He blinked a few times, then took the little doll from the creature, "Ah..so you have." He grinned broadly, "..and such attention to detail, too. He's got a little tail and everything." Somewhere in the back of his mind, he wondered how the creature was able to make the little dolls without the use of thumbs..

Carefully, Fram tucked the petal-doll away in his pouch, happy to have found a suitable souvenir to commemorate his visit in this strange little town. He looked back up at the creature as he began to play again, nodding his head at the patches of grass and shade around him, "Care to sit?"

[Urboros]

Rhee followed the scent of cooking food, flick had woken and was buzzing about checking all the food stalls. mostly looking for blossoms to suck dry.

Rhee stopped and ordered some rice and stew, and then looked around for a place to sit.

[ecco]

[Squid]

''Yes, thank you.'' Squid eased down in the grass, sitting next to Fram.

One of Squid's tentacles had decided to investigate the lyre as the boy was playing it, sneaking through the grass rather snake like and wrapping itself around one side before strumming across the strings, suckers working as it went.

''My name is Squid.'' Squid introduced itself, holding out another tentacle, for the boy to shake if he was brave enough. ''You play very well.''

[Urboros]

No tables were open so Rhee, sat down in some shade and nibbled at the rice dish. Rhee watched the going ons quite contently picking out all the carrots and eating them first.

Silver was still asleep but once again falls over and wakes up this time with a start along with a bit of a bolt upwords. He didn't stumble put plants himself in to a tree trunk. He then shakes himself a bit wonder what the heck happen to startle him into the state of awakeness. His tail twitches a back and forth as has he stands around. Of course his stomach demanded food so he was going to go find food. After all he was hungry!

He shakes his head a bit and starts to wonder away from the tree area and venture out into open area. Now this was a big step for him cause one there no where for him to hide and two it ment certain death for a solo deer on it own. But Silver figure why not he wasn't home anymore and maybe things where different here so he hopes.


As he travels down the path he lets his nose be his guide instead of his eyes. He open his eyes to see a lot of people and stands everywhere, he wasn't not sure what to make of all this so he look lost and also out of place due to his color of winter.

Rhee sneezed and spat out a pepper. She rubbed her tounge on a leaf attempting to rid the flavor from her mouth. She looked at the rice it had conspired against her. She moved the rice away from her and started on the stem while eyeing the pot pie.

Silver walks around the people and wonder where he could get something to eat then again he wonder if he had anything to use to get the food. He sniff the air a bit to smell his way around the area as if he was looking for something to eat. The stomach growls loudly reminding him to find something soon or else his stomach would try to eat himself. He sighs a bit to himself.


"I wish I knew what happen to that other four legger... maybe she could have help me to get something to eat." He said to himself but yet aloud hoping someone to help him out.

[Urboros]

Rhee started.
"oi deer boy!"
Rhee yelled at the deer, he probably would have stumbled right past her. She patted the grass next to her, and pointed to a tray laden with food.
