What the heck? My avatar is on the right of every page! its big and in the way D<

why do WE need to see it? every topic we post in has it!

and then the buttons...the HUGE buttons @.@

what was wrong with the old style? now its ugly and now I need to SCROLL to get to the other end of the page....

umm, no I didn't. all of the page fit on the screen (left and right I mean, I still had to scroll up and down of course =P)


but now I have to scroll over(right) to see the rest of the page!

Ok, I've moved the avatar to it's new position, I'll do some touch ups later and also, It's NOT finished yet. I plan to have a banner at the top next to the avatar to fill in the empty space.

I'd care to disagree, the old one was small and functional. And it had the little leaf ^^

now its big, glossy, and distracting from the rest of the page rather then integrated.

I think it looks more professional, and easier to navigate.
And who says the little feather's won't return? You think I'm just going to waste them? =p

It stands out on my broswer, normally it blend it it and took me forever to click the right button before the switch.

and now we have the big button with tiny links on mouseover that we have to still be careful about unless we click the wrong thing

the small links were easier to navigate.

and NOOOO not gloss! I hate gloss << the ancient look is better

now I have to move my mouse from one end of the page to another to go somewhere! say from view profile to search @.@

But I love gloss, and who says we can't have gloss and keep the ancient look at the same time? Midorea isn't set in the past, it is a mix of both past, present and "futuristic" elements.
And I'm confused.. how could you click the wrong thing? the links are separated by a large space and are underlined so I don't see how you could mistakenly click on the wrong thing.
But perhaps thats just me..

yes, cuz if I don't coordinate my mouse right, I accidentally mouseover the neighbor button on the way to the link and then I have to re-mouseover the button....

try going straight to equipment without swinging your mouse around the huge buttons, can't do it?

I have to agree with Max I dont like them either. They dont really look that much more professional. They look like something you'd get from one of those freebie button maker sites.

Not to mention they are definately to big and distracting.

This topic makes my belly hurt. 'Tis a tad rude.

Anywho, I personally don't have much of a problem with it. Yes, the buttons are big but they do look better than the previous links. Would it be possible, Cat, to use css rather than images? That way they could have drop-down menues and there wouldn't be as much trouble with clicking on the right link. (Which I don't have - you just hover over the button, move the mouse down, THEN click on the link. You don't need to hover over the other buttons.)

Also, there is a little part under the bottons that bothers me a bit:

Moving the avatar up two pixels would fix that though.

Also, the blues in the buttons and sign seem darker (and lighter for the words) than the blue in the background. Is that intentional? o.0

It may seem like I'm complaining, but I actually have no problem with it. ^^; I'm just trying to help out the users that don't.

Mmmm..I would love drop down menus like you're suggesting, Chu, though if we do do that then we'll have to make them different looking than the ones Nox had. XP *personally loves sites to be as individual as possible in terms of design* X3

Well, menues are menues, but I do see your point. I wouldn't know what would be good though since I wasn't on Nox.
