No, the amount of damage dealt will change depending on the element of your weapon and the element of the monster. I used to have a list but it got lost when I had computer troubles back in December.

The only time I really noticed something was when I tried fighting a monster with a weapon of the same element (ice, I think). It was dealing 2 damage instead of my usual 10+. Though, I haven't fought with an elemental weapon for long...

I'm not sure if the PvP could work, but it would be easier if it did.
I mean, I've never received more damage from monsters of different element, or at least I don't remember it, and I don't really deal more damage either... Though I use a Tenro 90% of the time, so my observations are not really useful. <_<

Alright, I tested a few elemental weapons on the enemies.

I fought a Imp, which has a water element (Which I totally didn't know) and I hit it with the Blade of fire to see if it wouldn't do as much damage and it didn't. Only did 10 damage while my volleyball did 13. xD;

So I'll start trying them out on my Mule. Woo..
What is water weak against...hmmm..
