Here's my character's information sheet.
Name: Raeve Talon
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Personality: Cautious, Naive, and intelligent, Raeve would make a fine addition to the ranks of any organization if not for the second trait. His cautiousness extends only to his physical surroundings, and he may not necessarily be the best judge of character. Despite that, the young paladin is a good companion to have around, and is relatively open to his allies.
Appearance: If not for his hair and eyes, both abnormally blue in colour, Raeve would be a completely nondescript paladin. Always garbed in his paladin armor while on duty, the young man is a shining example of the Order of Light.
Background:

---

To seek out and punish the demons who would corrupt our world, no matter the cost...

The words echoed through Reave's mind as he made his way down the road. Garbed in heavy armor the young paladin couldn't help but wonder why he had not been given enough supplies to requisition a horse. While the young man understood the value in challenging initiates, he couldn't see the merit in boiling them underneath their armour.

Shaking his head to clear his mind, the man continued he trek. His mind went over his instructions, trying to distract himself from the heat as he looked desperately for shade.

We have detected some magical presence in the town of Greenvale. While there have been no urgent reports yet, we believe it would be best to send someone to investigate and ensure any threat, no matter how small, is quelled. This will also be a good chance for you to prove your skills, as it provides an opportunity to face a lesser demon. Go with our blessings.

The young man was sure he remembered that wrong, as he doubted the Inquisitor would make such blatant speech errors. Still, that was the least of his concerns, as he slowly made his way to the quiet village.

Name: Miku
Age: Over one thousand years old - looks maybe sixteen
Species: Demon
Appearance: Blonde hair, blue eyes, short, with pointed ears and fangs; if she doesn't retract them, she also has claws and wings; carries a staff with her (I'll draw her soon)
Background: As a young girl, Miku specialised in medicine, using her demonic power to help her with particularly difficult cases. Soon tiring of the brutality of the Netherworld, Miku, a naturally sweet person, came into our world, and uses her knowledge to heal people in need of it throughout the land.

---------------

Miku finished wrapping somebody's arm and smiled at them. 'There. Come back in a few days and I'll see about the stitches.'

As she watched the person leave, Miku's thoughts turned inward. That was the third person so far who appeared to have been hurt by a demon. It bothered the young demon; why were demons here? Apparently someone was coming to help out, which was good.

It was soon clear from the sounds outside that the demon hunter had arrived. Miku made sure her hair covered her ears and kept her mouth closed to hide the small fangs, then left her small hospital and stood by the side of the road to watch the man's arrival.

As Raeve neared the village, his training kicked into place, and he slowly drew his sword. He muttered a few words, his eyes flashing pure white for a split second before fading back to normal. The young man paused for a moment to catch his breath, drained of his energy. It was a basic spell, but one essential for a paladin initiate, as it allowed them to see demonic auras.

He stepped into the village and slowly began walking around, ignoring the curious glances from the townsfolk, his eyes scanning over each one.

Miku knew what the spell was; it wasn't the first time paladins had come to the village she was in. As long as she wasn't doing magic, she had learned how to suppress her aura, and quickly did. She wouldn't be noticed, but the other demon would. One man, who was new in town, was glancing around a little nervously.

Raeve couldn't help but wander around, his hand by his sword, an inquiring expression stuck on his face. While he didn't as threatening as some of his peers, the man was still armed and armored, and even the townsfolk noticed that he seemed to be searching for a target.

It took him a few moments, but Raeve eventually finished his evaluation, finding no malicious or demonic aura. He decided to question the townsfolk, and began to approach one. Almost immediately, the poor peasant backed away, and the man stopped in his tracks. Maybe I should've searched after getting information...

Looking around for another person to question, Raeve's eyes fell on a young woman who did not seem disturbed by his attire. He slowly approached her, and as he noticed her stand her ground, decided to inquire with her. "Excuse me... This may be a weird question, but has there been anything odd happening in the area recently?" Blunt and to the point, Raeve showed that one does not have to have good people skills to be a paladin.

Miku originally took a half-step back when the paladin approached, then remembered he couldn't feel her aura. She nodded. 'Yes, I have, actually,' she said.

Raeve was surprised that he received an answer rather than another frightened look, but shrugged. He would take any help he could get. "Really? What sort of things?"

'Several strange injuries,' Miku said. 'Three in a short space of time. They're the type of injury caused by demons.'

The man raised his eyebrows questioningly. While demons did enjoy inflicting injuries, that alone often wasn't enough, especially in a village. It was odd that the person before him would consider it strange. More curious, though, was the fact that the person recognized the injuries as being caused by a demon. Normally, it would be indiscernible from a normal wound, unless the injury was savage enough to be attributed to a demon. And that obviously was not the case, as a few of the townsfolk seemed to be surprised by his arrival.

"How can you tell?" Raeve asked curiously, his eyes scanning over the young woman.

'I've seen demon wounds,' Miku said. 'Despite what people think, all you need is a bit of experience to learn how to tell the difference between that and what anybody else did. And demon attacks are rarer than people think. Too many people confuse them with bear attacks.'

Raeve still looked skeptical, unsure of how to judge her answers. This village was fairly isolated, and safe from what he could tell. It had not required the services of the Order before, which indicated that demons rarely appeared here. How, then, did the woman before him, who looked a few years younger than himself, learn to identify demon wounds? The paladin shook his head, brushing the thoughts aside. He would accept the answer for now, but keep his caution around the woman.

"If that's the case, we'll need to draw it out..." The young man took out a scroll from his pouch, a parchment with faintly glowing runes etched onto it. He paused for a moment, going over the paper in his mind. Let's see... Scroll of power... made by Warlocks, draws demonic energy. Used it in search for power, found out it lured demons... Hopefully, this will work.

It took all of Miku's willpower, even with her aura suppressed, to resist the urge. The man who had looked uncomfortable before wasn't so lucky. He was drawn foreword, wings, fangs and claws lengthening as he did.

Raeve immediately heard his assailant jump out. Not fully expecting the demon, he leapt back, dropping the scroll to the ground as it crumbled to ash. His eyes fell on the demon, and the young paladin calmed himself, his body shifting into a familiar stance as he drew his blade.

Without warning, a bolt of light shot out from the paladin's hand, blinding everything within the area as it flew towards the demon, Raeve's longsword following close behind.

Miku turned away. She closed her eyes as she heard the sound of the blade meeting flesh; she couldn't bear to see it happen.

The fight had ended as quickly as it began, the paladin's weapon driving into the demon's flesh. This was his duty, and he was to feel no remorse as he watched his victim convulse in pain, the final spasms of life leaving his body. Raeve watched the life fade from the man's face, and he couldn't help but feel a shiver run down his spine.

Pulling his weapon from the body, the paladin let it drop to the ground, standing there for a few moments before his mind finally caught up. He held back his thoughts, his hands reaching into his pouch to withdraw another scroll, as he read the incantations on the parchment. As soon as he finished, the scroll crumbled to dust, and the demon's body was wreathed in flames.

Raeve gazed at the fire for a bit, unsure of how he felt. Regardless of his target being a demon, he couldn't help but feel a little sick. It took a moment, but he regained his composure. Turning away from the body, the man began to walk away, intent on leaving this village without another word.
