Lower Level Monster: Giant Manta Ray

Name: Giant Manta Ray, Giant Ray
Level: Gold
Habitat: Sea, sometimes lakes and rivers
Frequency: Extremely Rare
Element: Water/Air/Light (Healing)
Intelligence: Average to Above Average
Danger Level: Red to Black
[b]Description[:/b] The giant rays, like their name indicates, are larger version of the fish of the same name. They range in size from 1 meter to over 10 meters, though some even larger have been reported by fishermen. The smaller version are however more common than the larger ones. Their color varies a lot, going from an almost completely white sub-specie found in the polar zones to a deep black one in some oasis of desert areas, with all the possibilities in between. Unlike our Earth version though, the rays on Terra are often referred too as bird-fish, because of the special ability some of them have to literally fly in the air. It's more like if they were swimming than really flying, and they rarely use that ability when people are around, but it is known to exist. They also seem to be able to breath air and survive out of water, even if they generally prefer to stay in their natural element.
Giant rays are extremely intelligent. They cannot communicate with humans, but are said to have a special language to talk to each other, probably using high-frequency sounds, or maybe electro-magnetic currents. They can also recognize humans and some words and signs, making them great pets for the people who are able to get one. Rays are generally quite friendly and love to help other creatures, though they can also be quite dangerous if provoked.

Lower Level Monster: Hippix

Name: Hippix
Level: Bronze for kits, Silver for adults.
Habitat: Woods, hills and plains
Frequency: Common
Element: Fire, Lightning, Earth
Intelligence: Average
Danger Level: Yellow
Description: The hippix, at a glance, looks like a hybrid of a horse and a fox. It is believed that the two species were accidentally fused with wild magics and were left to die out. Instead they thrived. They created family groups and dispersed themselves to the winds. They are curious in nature and will periodically investigate the doings of humans and higher intelligent monsters in their territory. Due to their size, that can accidentally hurt beings smaller than them, thus the yellow status.

Hippix are sleek in shape, yet capable of carrying a rider. (If they are so inclined to let someone climb onto their backs.) Their feet are a cross between paws and hooves. They have three toes which end in sharp and sturdy hooves. Their tails are bushy and their necks are long. Their heads are more vulpine in appearance and their mouths are suited for an omnivorous diet. They prefer fruits, if given a choice. The come in the same variety of colors that their non-magical sires can be. Most coloring is solid with different colored socks and tail tip. Most coats consist of reds, browns, black, grays, and white. Rarely different patterns, paints, bays, palomino, and others have been seen. Albinos are extremely rare. Some have been born with the ability to talk. But few outside their species have heard them communicate outside of barks and bellows. If befriended, they are loyal companions.

Lower Level Monster: Imp

Name: Imp.
Level: Bronze.
Habitat: Anywhere dark and damp.
Frequency: Common.
Element: Fire.
Intelligence: Low.
Danger Level: Yellow.
Description: Usually described as mischievous more than seriously threatening, they slink or skitter about, running from one pool of shadow to another. The trickery ascribed to them is, generally, confined to missing, misplaced, or moved articles (socks, keys, etc.) and stubbed toes.
Some accounts of imps claim that they are desperately lonely, and always travel in pairs or in mobs. Some accounts of imps treat them as capable of being turned to good, because they are so desperately lonely they would do almost anything — even commit good deeds — to have a committed friend. Due to this desire for companionship, an Imp is a very easy Monster to tame, however, it is regarded as almost impossible for any imp to fully forsake its "impish" ways.
Imps are sometimes described as fond of music, and capable of being charmed into making a promise to aid, and obey, in that manner through music — though there is always likely to be some mischievous trick to be attached to the barter and it is always a risk to attempt to tame one of them.
