| Love with real people is a lot more fulfilling, in my opinion ^^ Mostly because it is real and they can love you back.
Also, you can't really date a drawing or computer animation...unless you print them on a piece of paper or make a giant cardboard cutout and take them places XD
It's true that made-up characters can't really hurt you....but you have to consider the character's personality, though. For example, several years ago, I had the biggest crush on Squall Leonheart from Final Fantasy 8. But he's so crabby that if he really existed he'd probably hate me.
A date with him would go like this:
Me: So! What do you like to do for fun? :D
Squall: >:| Why do you care to know...? Go talk to a wall.
Me: Q_Q
Squall: >:C .....
