| I can't be the only electronica and industrial fan in the mido forums can i? But so far most of the conversation is about light fluffy tv tunes, pop, rock and pop metal (and i looooove metal don't get me wrong). But I wanna hear about your favourite alt bands. Bring on the eletronica!
Personally some of my favourite eletronica bands are BAAL (the japanese ones not the dutch), Eve of Destiny, Schwarz Stein, The Cruxshadows, Suicide Ali, Muse, Tujiko Noriko... uhh... that's what comes to the top of my head. Oh and lets celebrate Dizzy Gotheca and Silver Sircus as awsome local electronica bands.
Speaking of Dizzy Gotheca i'm going to their new EP launch tonight, which is why all this stuff is on my mind. They're fantastic, with a real epic sound.
So on that vein. What are your favourite electronica bands?
Oh and i'm just curious do we have any fans of those really harsh metamorphic eletronic beats like what comes out of Greece, that makes my head hurt but has the most amazing musical composition ever? I've allways wanted to meet someone who likes that stuff. I have a real appreciation for how much frikken work goes into that music even if i can't listen to it for more then afew mins myself.

| I can't believe i'm the only electronica fan on mido. </3
I am obviously the most awsome person on this site. ;D
In other news, the Dizzy Gotheca cd launch was fantastic. They and Silver Sircus were amazing. Sound of Colour (i think was their name) was ok, and the lead was really nice and interesting but i'm just not sure if her vocals added anything to the music. But ah well, it was fun to dance to, even if it was the most mainstream of the night.

| Nope, you're not!
I like Kraftwerk (pioneers in the genre), Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Hot Chip, Cut Copy and some others out there...
What you are into sounds interesting, I will check it out.

| I love a lot of different kinds of music..so the "genres" kinda blend into each other for me. I love techno and eurodance, those I consider electronica. *shrugs*
Under my iTunes music for the genre: Electronica
(The artists with the most songs I got)
~ Daft Punk
~ Dirty Vegas
~ Freezepop
~ The Postal Service
~ Dr. Bombay
Though some are dance too. :P
Plus a own a few of the "Ultra" mixes with lots of random stuffs
Industrial..all I know of is Rammstein and have a few songs of theres. ^^;;
Also have some NIN stuff too then..
I also like Hot Chip. :D

| Electronica whilst tecnically including dance is usually used for the more "alternative" eletronic genres and mixes. So your normal club music is very rarely considered to fall into it, even if it is technically a part of the genre.
Rammstein are awsome but i consider them metal imo. :3 <33333
