[Afanassii]

The picture of Transcendence before him, breathing deep and looking somehow satisfied sent Nassii's head whirling into a daydream that he refused to allow himself to keep.

"Y...You're welcome." His stammer was short, but obvious. he was stuck in the position, unsure of what to do next, worried about making a false move or somehow offending her.

[Transcendence]

"Well, I am ready when you are to walk to the orchard."

Tran turned away from the window and faced Nassii, a big smile on her face now.

She walked towards the door and turn around to face Nassii, the smile still on her face. Her eyes were soft and happy. She beckoned to him playfully giggling softly. Her feet pattered slowly down the narrow stairs.

Tran yelled back, "Nassii, are you alright?"

[Afanassii]

He cleared his throat. "Of course. I'm perfectly fine, Miss Transcendence." He moved to follow her. "Why do you ask, my dear?"

[Transcendence]

"You just seem to be acting....different is all." Tran stated simply.
Tran stood and waited for Nassii at the door. She glanced out the window. The breeze came in like a soft kiss blowing her hair back a little.

"I can smell the rain."


The sky was beginning to cloud over. She turned in Nassii's direction, her smile faded.

"Are you sure there isnt anything that I can do for you? Are you sure you are alright?"

[Afanassii]

"I'm perfectly fine," he laughed, grabbing the parasol and patting it decidedly at the mention of rain. "I suppose we should enjoy the orchard now before we become rained out of it."

"I am anxious to see your apple trees."

[Transcendence]

Tran picked up her brown sack, that always seemed to have everything she needed in it, and opened the door and walked briskly in the direction of the apple trees. The grass was no longer dewy like it had been earlier. It was nice and dry, but it would be wet soon enough Tran thought to herself. Tran raised her face to the sky to discern the weather. It would be a nice warm rain.

"Its not far. My father planted the apple trees, when I was very young. I used to love trying to eat them when they were not ripe yet, and I would get a bad belly ache. " Tran felt she was blabbing on, she hoped Nassii didn't mind. One drop of rain fell from the sky and landed on Tran's nose.

"We can get shelter from the rain under the trees if it bothers you. You wont melt will you?"

[Afanassii]

Nassii had swung his waxed, rice paper parasol over one shoulder although, as he looked about now. he wondered if the clouds moving in would make it so he would not need his carried shade for very long.

"Your father gardened much, then?" he asked Transcendence. "Mine was a scholar... before he married."


(Sorry, must go for now. The interwebs are being stolen from me at the moment. I'll try to get back on later but if I cannot, I will see you tomorrow, I hope?)

[Transcendence]

(ok, i am very tired anyways)

"My father gardened a little. I helped when I was young. I was never very good at it and neither was he, but we always tried. My father was actually a carpenter and my step mom a dancer."


Tran took in a large breath of air. She could already smell the sent of the apple blossoms blowing her way. How pleasant she thought.


"We can get shelter from the rain under the trees if it bothers you. You wont melt will you?"

[Afanassii]

"Ha!" Nassii laughed. "Melt? I'd like to see that...." He took a low-hanging branch of a nearby tree into his hands and inspected it carefully.

"I wonder if I could garden, myself. This was one of the skills not offorded to me as a child." He sighed. "I wouldn't even know where to begin now..."

[Transcendence]

"Well its never too late to try something new. I love working in nature, but I must confess that I do not have a green thumb. I am not even that good at it, but I love it just the same."

Tan laughed back at Nassii, "As for the melting, well, you get bad sun burn, how am I to know if you dont melt in rain?"

The rain began to fall faster now it started to get Tran's hair wet. Her hair turned a darker shade of blonde with the wetness. Tran raised her hands and twirled in circles letting the rain drops fly.

"When I was little I used to think if I danced enough it would rain."

Tran ran for the cover of the trees and leaned her back against one.

[Afanassii]

Nassii felt the rain and closed the parasol. He watched Tran run about and then followed to lean on the tree beside her. "No, Sekassiret do not melt in the rain, Miss Transcendence." he said, laughing.

He grew silent for a moment and then looked back at her. "In all my travels, I don't remember someone who did... have you ever seen such a thing?"

[Transcendence]

"Oh I have never heard such a thing of course, nothing real. I have however heard of the witches melting from water in fairy tales. Do you have fairy tales like that where you are from Nassii?"

Tran turned to Nassii and looked up at him. Water was dripping down her face from her yellow tendrils of hair, which was wet through. It traveled down her neck and soaked up in her dress. The grass was starting to get wet beneath their feet despite the tree's canopy of leaves. The bottom of her blue dress was the wettest a darker shade than the rest.

"I apologize for asking so many questions about your culture and you, I know so little, I am merely a human. I mean the only thing that happens to me, is my hair can change colors with the seasons and occasionally when I get really angry. It is quite strange, I was never able to figure it out."

A flower from the tree they were standing under come loose from the tree from the rain and the wet, white beauty fell from the tree and landed on Tran's shoulder.

Jay walks around and notices some very familiar people "TRAN NASSII" Jay yelled "HOW HAVE YOU GUYS BEEN" as he runs up to the both of them and hugs them

Nassii reached out to pick up the apple blossom that fell on Tran. He studied it for a moment before he heard Jay's words, startled, he dropped the blossom but caught it again after a fumble.

"Well, hullo Jay!" he said, laughing. "We have been fine.... Well I have." He looked to Tran to allow her to speak for herself.

[Transcendence]

Tran grins, "Oh, hi Jay! I have been alright as well. We have just been staying around here at my house. I am trying to get Nassii to take me on an adventure."

Tran hooked arms with Nassii and leaned on him. The rain was beginning to let up.
