| When he looked, he saw Elizabeth there, standing over top of a silver haired teen that Vincent knew too well. She was on the ground, and looked to be trying to protect soemthing beneath her.

| "That woman..." he growled, as he stepped forward, towards the females.
"Bathory!" he called out the Elizabeth.
"What are you doing now!?"

| "Teaching my daughter some respect." Elizabeth hissed before kicking the woman beneath her, hard.
"Seeing as this thing here doesn't seem to know that term." She added.

| "It looks like you're abusing her." he commented, as he slowly stepped forward.
"And I don't like to see people being abused." he continued.
"And I think it's in your best interest to avoid me being not happy with you." he warned her.

| "Wouldn't be the first time, Remmington." She snarled before just turning on her heel and heading back inside, and away from him and the one she'd been beating up.

| He gritted his teeth and watched her go, before heading to the one that was on the ground, and kneeling down to her.
"Sydney..." he whispered.
"Sydney, it's me, Vincent."

| When he knelt down, he was able to see that she was trembling, and at first it would come off as being from pain. Upon closer inspection, he saw that the bundle of blankets beneath her had far more blood on it, than could possibly be healthy.

| "Sydney...?" he asked, as he managed to help her to a sitting position.
"Sydney, are you all right?"

| "I'm fine..." She said, sounding near tears, and not looking up at him. She just pulled the bundle, gently, towards her and holding it close.
".. I'm fine..." she said before sitting on the ground.

| "Sydney, please..." he said quietly.
"What's wrong? Why were you surrendering so easily?" he asked.
"And.... what is in the bundle that is so worth protecting?"

| "The only anything I have to keep the memories of my husband alive..." Sydney told him quietly before looking up, tears in her eyes.
"I can't lose him, Vincent, please... I can't lose Jaden... please help..." she begged, not even sure he would be able to help.

| "Your husband...? Jaden...?" he asked, before looking at the bundle.
It was revealed to be an infant... and one that looked to be barely living.
Vincent's face paled, and his pupils shrank, as he gently placed a finger on the baby's small chest, and poured some small healing magic into him.
"I will save him, Sydney." he said determinedly.
"I promise you."

| "Please....." Sydney begged of him.
"Please... " she added quietly as she heard what sounded like maybe a door slamming in the house. She jumped, rather violently at that, when she heard it before quickly scrambling to her feet, not seeming to care that she ended up stopping Vincent in the process.
"I have to go." she said, her voice hurried.

| "Sydney, wait!" he said, as he got to his feet as well, and placed his hands on her shoulders.
"Please, let me help you and your son." he said to her.
"I haven't finished healing him yet..."

| "I know... I just... I can't... can't stay..." she started, before getting cut off by another sound, this time it sounded like breaking glass.
"I'm sorry! I have to go!" she half screamed, although it was obvious that it was from fear, before a portal opened up to suck her in.
