| Ash continued to moan and struggle with himself... as the three of them were stopped short by a rune that started to form on the ground.

Lindsay stopped short what he was doing.
"......I think some serious shit just happened with Ash." he said to Rowena.

| Just before Lindsay said that, Rowena had frozen for a moment before getting to her feet. Her movement was almost jerky because of the speed, and the fact that it was so sudden.
Without saying anything, she vanished from the spot, her hat falling to the floor in her wake.

| "Mom! Damnit!" he exclaimed, as he grabbed her hat and vanished as well.

Ash continued to grasp at his hair, as the rune slowly grew stronger.
"No.... please, no...." Simon said quietly, almost on the verge of tears, as Geoff just held onto Rebecca's hand.

| The three of them were practically rooted to the spot as Rowena appeared a few feet behind Ash. As soon as her feet made contact with the rune, she had to compose herself. Her post got stiff, and her hair started to darken aswell as her irises. But she managed to push past it, surprisingly enough, and knocked her son upside the head.... hard, probably with more force than was needed, aswell.

| Ash froze when he was hit upside the head, and the rune froze as well. The black receded somewhat, but was still obviously there, as he shook his head.
"Uh....? What...?" he asked confusedly.
"What happened? What's going on?" he asked further.

| Rowena growled.
"Don't play ignorant, you fucking moron." She hissed, the darkness within coming to light a bit, if her attitude was anything to go by, as she used her foot and pushed on his back, between his shoulder blades, and forcing him to the grass below.
"I just fucking saved your soul, and theirs, you fucking jackass."

| "Agh!" Ash exclaimed, as he was pushed to the ground.
"Mom!? What!?" he asked, panicked, as Lindsay suddenly appeared with Rowena's hat.
"Damnit." he cursed, as he ran towards her. He stumbled a bit when he entered the rune, but made his way to her and plopped the hat on her head, before pinning her arms to her sides with his own arms.

| Rowena was caught off guard by Lindsay wrapping his arms around her, and considering the fact that he was quite a bit larger than she was, she wasn't able to fight him off.

| "Mom! Calm down!" Lindsay exclaimed, as the rune surrounding them started to fade... and rather quickly at that.

| "Lindsay... let... Go." Rowena hissed as she tried to get out of her son's grasp. At the same time, the three hunters took advantage of the fact that the rune was fading, and started to sneak away.

| Lindsay continued to hold on, but looked to the hunters sneaking away.
Instantly, they were each surrounded by a ring of unbearably hot fire.
"You three... stay right where you are." he ordered, irritation evident in his voice.

| Rowena continued to fight against her son, but it steadily decreased until she just relaxed against him.
"Fuck... thanks Lindsay." She said as the rune finally faded completely, vanishing from view.

| Lindsay just sighed as he let her go.
"No problem." he said.
"You and Mom go deal with those hunters." he added, as he started to make his way over to Ashley, and Ash rose to his feet.

| Rowena nodded before looking to Ash, concern evident in her features. She hoped she hadn't hurt him too badly, but she wasn't about to ask right then. She would wait until those that needed to be dealt with, we dealt with first.

| Ash cracked his back a bit, and looked to the hunters, before looking to his mother.
"So.... I assume we're going to be dealing with them?" he asked with a small hint of a grin.

Lindsay walked over to Ashley, keeping the flame barriers around the hunters, until Ash and Rowena got to them, and knelt down to her level on the ground.
"Hey... you alright?" he asked her, concern in his tone.
