In the middle of a forest lays The Clan House Tavern. This tavern was built by Luria and Yaneci, styled after their clan house back home. Around the tavern and it's buildings is a stone wall, about three and a half feet tall. There are four gates in this wall, each corresponding to a compass point, North, South, East and West. The gates are a combination of wood and iron with intricate designs painted and carved in. Posted on each gate is an enchanted sign, it states "Welcome" in any language the reader speaks. Any and all are welcome, no matter their gender or species.
The clan house has four stories. The first is where the tavern and bar are located. Also on this floor are the kitchen, several restrooms, and five private dining rooms. The second and third floors contain rooms for rent, twenty in all. Lastly, on the fourth floor are rooms for Luria and Yaneci. Each room for rent contains a bed, writing desk and chair, wardrobe and bathroom.
The buildings around the tavern include a stable, three cottages, a laundry house and several tool sheds. The stable is big enough to house thirty animals. Each cottage is like the rooms, only included are a kitchen and dining room as well. The laundry house has washing machines and dryers. As well it includes huge tubs to hand was clothes, and out side are clothes lines to hang dry them.
Follow the path from the South gate to get to the lake. This lake is fun to swim in, so long as you stay in the shallows. There are dangerous beasts and water spirits the deeper you go.
The other three gate paths split into many offshoots. Each offshoot leads to a small shrine. The shrines are dedicated to the different Forest Spirits.

Age: 1,700 years old
Gender: Female
Height: 4 feet
Appearance:
Personality: Generally friendly, not afraid to speak her mind.
Abilities: Shape shifting, random basic magic/spells, summoning [[Small fire and water elementals are easiest. Bigger/stronger/not her elements creatures cause tons of strain.]], self healing [[Minor wounds mostly, larger wounds drain her so she rarely does more healing on them then starting the process.]], berserker [[Only when enraged and or in mortal danger. She really tries not to go berserk, it could be fatal under the wrong circumstances.]], other large magics she almost never uses due to strain/depleting her energy rapidly.
Weapons: Hooves, and anything she can throw, especially if it is pointy
Familiar: Jesmynn, a fire elemental/demon cross breed.
Bio: [[see Yaneci's bio.]]

Username: Yaneci DeNovi
Character Name: Yaneci
Nick Name: Yane
Race: Shar`Lon [[see under bio]]
Age: 1,700 years old
Gender: Female
Height: 4 feet
Appearance:
Personality: Very quiet, usually only speaks when she feels the need, or is spoken to first.
Abilities: Random small magics, including water/steam/mist/ice magics.
Weapons: Hooves, throwing daggers.
Familiar: Yeto, a water elemental
Bio: As children Lu and Yane had it all, the love of their parents, everything they ever wanted, friends, and most important each other. That all went away when they turned 7. Unknown to anyone both girls were genetic throwbacks to the Shar, a race of extremely powerful summoners and mages. So when the twins summoned a fully grown dragon, with out even intending too, they were proclaimed outcasts. If not for the dragon they'd summoned they likely would have died. However he took them into his horde, raising them as his adopted children. They spent the remainder of their childhood in the Dragon King's palace in the Horde Lands.
One hundred years ago the Horde Lands were attacked by a powerful race of demons. Lu, Yane and the strongest mages, known as Dream Weavers, stopped the invasion by destroying the demons. The spells used exacted a great cost however, many of the mages died or went insane from the after shocks of power. Lu nearly died, and her full strength, physically and mentally, was never recovered. Even now using more then just her most basic spells leaves her drained, sometimes for weeks. Yane was almost completely cut off from her magics. Now she can only perform the smallest and weakest of magic and spells.
They use world gates, places where one may travel between worlds and dimensions, to travel between their home and where ever the next gate takes them. Recently though they settled down and opened a tavern in Menewsha.
Shar`Lon: Shar`Lon is a race of magic users who's parent races are the Shar and the Lon. The Shar were extremely powerful summoners and mages. There are no longer any traces of the Shar race, a mysterious illness wiped them out long ago. The Lon are a race of hoofed creatures with an intricate caste system based on fur patterns and color, horns and weather a person is two legged [[like a Faun or Satyr]] or four legged [[like a Centaur]]. The two legged Lon, the lowest caste no matter what fur or horns one has, blended their genes with the Shar, thus the Shar`Lon were born. The Shar`Lon were ruled by a class system based on magic, Mage-Summoners, Summoners, Mages, Healers, War-Mages, Shape Shifters, and Spell Casters. [[Listed in order of most to least important.]] Luria and Yaneci are the only living pure blood Shar`Lon left, though no one knows what happened to the others. Or why those who are not pure Shar`Lon are still alive.

User Name: Maeve
Character Name: Maeve
Nick Name: -
Race: Human with some dragon blood*
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Height: 5 feet 8 inches
Appearance:

Personality: Maeve can often seem cold to people she doesn't know, but she is always polite and respectful towards others. Once you've learned to know her, or let's say when she has learned to trust you, she can be really friendly and will do whatever she could to help you. She rarely holds grudge against someone, ecxept if they really hurt her or one of her friends. She mostly prefers to be alone or with a few people. She doesn't really like large crowd and tend to avoid place where a lot of people gather.
Abilities: Light, ice and water magic [[low level spell most of the time; higher level spells can be casted but take much more time to cast and drain a lot of energy]]; ice breath; telepathy [[with her familiar only]]; can transform her familiar into a fully grown armored bear [[not too often; gets her and the bear tired]]; some fighting skills with most weapons; stronger than average human [[as strong as two or three normal humans]]; can produce light with the end of her wand and unlock simple locking devices [[can be done as often as she wants because doesn't required a lot of energy]]
Weapons: An old wooden wand
Familiar: A female baby polar bear called Stella
Bio: Maeve grew up as a lonely child. Since she didn't look fully human with her pointy ears, people used to avoid her. She didn't have any brothers or sisters and very few friends. She travelled a lot with her parents when she was young, and lived for some time in the north when she was 10 years old. That's where she met a little orphan baby polar bear whose mother had been killed by hunters. She took the little bear with her and took care of it and it became her best friend. When she was 16 years old, she decided to leave her family. Her parents where getting older and didn't want to travel anymore, so she prefered to leave them and travel on her own. At the same time, her powers have begun to grow and she wanted to train them and learned more about them. She took her polar bear and an old wand with her and left her village.

* Dragon blood: A far ancestor of Maeve was a dragon. Though she look mostly human, except for her ears, she has a greater strength and some magical powers inherited from that bloodline. It also includes a special ability called "ice breath", which is similar to a dragon breath (fire and other), but smaller and less powerful because of her human blood and form.

Luria walks down stairs, her hooves making hollow clopping sounds with each step. Coming off the last stair she turns and heads into the main room. Stopping at the bar she grabs a glass and bottle from the counter top. Then she goes over to a couch. Settling herself on the couch, her legs tucked under her, she uncorks the bottle and fills the glass. Recorking the bottle she sets it on a side table. While sipping her drink she watches the fire.

In the kitchen sounds of cooking and humming can be heard. Yaneci's in there, making dinner. She's got a pot of beef and vegetable stew on the stove, and bread in the oven. At the moment she's mixing pie filling, pumpkin by the smell of it.

As the snow falls, Maeve walks up a road to what seems like a tavern or an inn. She stops in front of a small rock wall with a wooden door. As she comes close to the door, she sees a welcome sign forming on it, inviting her to come in. "Come here, Stella. Stop playing in the snow," she says to the little bear that is running behind her and hiding in the fresh snow. She takes the little bear and places it on her shoulder, then pushes the door and enter the Tavern's land. She slowly walks the path to the tavern building and opens the door.

Hope we will find a nice place to stay for the winter, because I'm getting tired of sleeping outside with this weather, she thinks as the warm air of the tavern bring the good smell of pie to her nose. She enters the main room and quickly shuts the door. She sits at a table close to the window, watching the snow fall outside.

Luria turns when she hears the door opening, peeking over the top of the couch. Seeing a woman enter she stands, smiling. She comes around the couch and walks over to her table. "Hi hi, and welcome. Can I get you anything?" Noticing the bear Luria coos at her. "Is she friendly?"

In the kitchen Yaneci is just taking the pies out of the oven. She sets them on a cooling rack, then rummages around the cupboards for a tray.

Maeve turns her head away from the window and looks at the woman who've spoken to her. "Hi! Yes, Stella is friendly with people, unless they try to hurt her or me. Can I have a bowl of soup and a hot cocoa, please?"

The bear looks at her, touching its belly with its paw and showing her teeth. "Oh, and some raw meat for my friend," Maeve adds with a smile.

"Stella, what a lovely name." Luria tickles the bear's chin. "Sure, I'll be right back." Turning she heads into the kitchen. "Yani, our guest would like a bowl of soup and some hot cocoa." Yane nods, placing a bowl, mug and spoon onto the tray. She ladles a generous amount of soup into the bowl, and fills the mug. Then she adds a plate with bread and butter and a small dish of marshmallows as well. Picking the tray up she goes out into the main room. Stopping at the table where the woman and her bear are sitting she sets down the food. "Enjoy." Tucking the tray under her arm, she turns and goes back into the kitchen.

A minute later Luria comes out with a large dish full of raw meat. She sets it on the table, a bit apart from the woman. "I wasn't sure what she'd like, so there's beef, lamb, chicken and trout."

The bear's eyes open wide as it sees the platter of meat. It looks at Maeve and at Luria, unsure of what it should do. Maeve nods a little and says: "What are you waiting for? I thought you were hungry." The bear let go a little roar, before jumping head first into the meat.

"Thank you," Maeve says to Luria and Yaneci before she starts to eat. She takes a spoonful of the hot soup and tastes it. "It's really delicious," she adds, grabbing a piece of bread. She eats all the food that was set in front of her, hungry after her long travel.

After some long minutes, Stella and Maeve both lift their heads from the food. "Thanks again for the food. Stella and me have travelled for a long time and we really needed a good dinner." With that, the little bear jumps on the ground and lays beside Maeve's feet, ready for a good nap.

A girl who appeared to be no older than sixteen had cautiously entered the western gate, and now stood a few feet from the door of the tavern she had found herself by. She dared not go any closer, not because she was swathed in mere rags and her short pumpkin colored hair with the lavender streak in the front was unkempt, but because she knew not where she was nor had she so much as an aquaintence to her name. Even that much she wasn't sure of, but a whisper of an answer to that thought suggested the name Tivina. Her hazel green eyes held that tavern door in their sight for another long moment before she pulled them away, part of her mind screaming at her to turn and run back from whence she had come.

Snow fell gently, being tossed about even in the light wind. The trees around the young female were on the verge of budding. She was ageless, the female looked young but carried herself with something far too experienced to be as young as she appeared. Snow did not once touch her; not one speck of white was seen in hair that was as dark as the abyss from which she had emerged. A portal, now swirling counterclockwise. As it swirled it came closer to resembling what one would imagine a strike from her halberd would look like. The slice through time and space healed, temporarily sealing her in this new world. "Wataridori.. Why are we here?" She asked the weapon thoughtfully, her long forked tongue visible for only a moment as she tasted the air. Though, of course, the weapon had no words. It did, however, have a pointed spear at its end. A crescent blade was also attached to one side near to the end of the spear, while another, more decorative point, adorned the opposing end of the crescent. Her rises were like a molten pool of gold, scanning the area for anything of significance to herself. Despite the temperature, she wore a cheongsam. A brilliant red Chinese dress, it was sleeveless and its signature high collar made the woman look taller. She was only about 5'3". Despite not being impressively tall, she had an air about her that commanded respect. If one should ever get close to her, which rarely happened if she had a say in it, they would realize why she was untouched by the snow. Her body temperature was unnaturally high, the snow melted before it got near her. Her pupils narrowed as she came across the apple of her eye. A shrine. At the same time, she realized she was at the destination of a path. A destination from where? To whom did this Shrine belong to, and why did this person house a spirit with such overwhelming sorrow that it would tug her very at her very soul to come here? Or was this spirit not the problem at hand? There was only one way to find out, Kai followed the path. She arrived at the Western gate, and when she saw "Welcome" written in her native tongue a hiss escaped from between her lips, her knuckles turned a pale white from how tightly she held her weapon. The language was Draconic, so she assumed Dragons would be the one that owned this Tavern. How could Dragons allow a spirit to suffer as the one she sensed was doing? Kai, too, entered through the gate. Her wooden sandals clicked against the path. She made no attempt to hide her arrival. "Shivi doutan, petranas*," She said, though she doubted that the girl understood the ancient language of Dragons. Only Dragons could understand it, it was far too complicated for another species. But the Dragon would hear her speaking it, would that not get his or her attention? Eyes locked on a young girl, before turning her attention to the door. She opened it and entered. "Si mi tenpiswo ihk wux, Darastrix**." She said. The language, comprised of some things that sounded like real words, was often intertwined with growls and hisses. It was not threatening, only sounded as such. The sounds were apart of the language. Long pointed ears moved like the rabbit ears on an old television while she waiting for a response from anyone who may happen to be in the vicinity.

She jumped in her skin at the voice of another, and without even looking for the source, skittered back behind a pile of wood. This must surely be why she was alone, for reacting as such to the voice of another would get her nowhere. So she mustered the guts to peer over the top of the pile and speak at least a word of greeting, despite that she had not understood what the woman had said. "H-hello..." Then it occured to her to wonder why the woman's looks had registered to her as something other than being quite human, when she herself had no memories of others, or anything for that matter. What were humans? Was this body she was in human?

The door remained open, she lingered just inside the threshold. Kai turned her head back towards the skittish female, the only one who seemed to catch her attention for the moment. Slowly, contemplatively, she twirled her halberd. As she did so, light emitted from it. It's form diminished in this light. When it faded she was left with a small golden bell on a matching chain, she clipped it around her neck before responding to the other. "Hello." Her voice was soft in this language, but still loud enough to be heard. "If you mean no harm, I will not hurt you; I am a Priestess." Actually, she was a Betsushikme. A shrine maiden trained to exorcise demons and evil spirits, but she had found it easier to just say Priestess. People asked less questions. "What is your name, child?" Kai tended to a lot of people children, everyone just always ended up being so much younger than her.

Even though it was unnecessary, Sayfu was bundled thoroughly against the snow and the cold of night. He walked outside of time, being an immortal demon, it meant nothing to him. It also made no difference to him who was alive, dead, or in charge. He witnessed the fall of humanity and laughed when their world fell down around them and was molded to keep the Deities pleased. He avoided contact with both groups as much as possible, but sometimes even he felt lonely and messed with them since he still felt no love for them.
The wind ruffled his silver hair and he viewed a building along the path he was following through eyes squinted against the weather. "Я интересую если любое дом" He said to himself. He spoke in a language that was no longer known to this world and he liked it that way, so people wouldn't know what he was talking about if he was overheard. He meandered up to the door and knocked loudly, wondering if anyone was even awake to hear his knocking.

It was cold, and it was dark. You need to go somewhere, instincts raced through his mind like skitterish bluejays. Koma's wild eyes raced through the snowy anarchy that attacked his bare limbs.
Get out of the cold.
Su'Ish, get out of the cold. You're going to die.
Koma hugged the ragged and dripping limb to his chest. Technicality didn't matter anymore, instinct took over, and when it did, it got what it wanted.
Koma loped lopsidedly on his three good limbs toward the light in the distance. His body yearned and groaned loudly for fish. He supressed it, knowing it would have to wait.
How could Nature turn on him so quickly? Koma couldn't even put all the pieces togethor. He was in his meadow, chasing the Elk, his only companion, when something happened. He couldn't remember what, it was too fuzzy and it hurt his head and snout to think. It was sunnny... and then it was snowing. Hard. Elk disappeared... a tree fell... Elk smelt of death... Koma suppressed a rumbling growl as the lighted building came closer.
He directed his attention to the immediate issue as he got up on his two legs. Focus his instincts told him, You have to focus. Calm. Human, not Bear. Calm. Human, not Bear...
Instinct chanted slowly behind his glazed mahogany eyes as he trudged onto the cut wooden floors into the warmth. He tried to focus his attention on being as human as possible. Of course, he would have to make do with his mangled arm, his practically destroyed and dirty white Kish ((basically a cross between a cloak, a shirt, and a thick wool jacket. Made of animal fur and painted with patterns. It goes a little below knee-length)), and his inability to speak common language very well.
He stumbled over to a table with two women at it, practically throwing himself down into the chair and onto the table.
Speak!
"Mi... Miyaxwe..." ((Hello")) his voice came out in a semi-audible whisper to the women there.[/i]
