Violet didn't appreciate being shoved off but thought better of saying anything before taking off back to the rooftops. She made it the rest of the way back to what appeared to be the same inn that the one who had just interrogated her and the quite girl were going. She shrugged and slipped into her room gathering up her things. First her bandolear of blades then her belt of other various things she caried.

She had decided that she would use the information she had in a different manner than what the man whose name she didn't remember to get or wasn't paying attention to if he had said it. She would use it in a manner to become an informant for him.
Something in the back of her mind made her think of another person much like him from when she was much younger. She had picked the pocket of the wrong man and got caught but instead of threatening her much he gave her an apple and warned her instead. For all she knew it was the same man.

She shrugged not knowing for sure but decided to play informant anyway. Especially if it got her some coin or kept her, her freedom and life. She wasn't to picky as long as she was benifited in some manner. She sat down on her bed simply to think of places that the information she would be seeking could be found. It wasnt long though that she had instead driffted off to sleep.

As Learmount watched the rest of the conversation play off, she wondered if letting the woman go was such a good idea. There was a swirl of magic around her. Mind you, not a strong one, but it was used often enough. She may, though have powerful friends that could use the information that she had gotten. And the one thing she did not need was more enemies. He had been doing this for longer than her, though, so she trusted his judgement.

When they made it to the inn, she listened to him for a moment. "Thank you." Learmount smiled and went into the inn. When she walked into the room, Cait Sidhe was already waiting for her, the scraps in the bowl gone.

"So, that is what you have been doing here." The cat leapt from the chair to the small desk in the room. She didn't ask how much the cat had heard, as the fae had their own little secrets that even she knew nothing of.

"Yes, and now you understand why I've been so hesitant about saying anything to my parents. Using my gifts to harm others... it's shameful." She pulled out a sack and started putting her clothing into it.

"Oh, every mortal has done something shameful in their lifetime. You should have seen the mess your father got himself into when he was your age because of his future-sight. Cait Sidhe chuckled. "Where are we heading off to?"

"I am heading off to stay with Sir Allyn, the knight I am working with for this hunt. You can too if he'll let you." she smirked as she put the bag over her one shoulder and her lute case over the other.

The cat scoffed. "When have I ever needed a mortal's permission to go where I please? I will join you, whether or not he wants me."

Learmount rolled her eyes. "Very well." The pair of them walked down the stairs and out the door. "Where to, Sir Allyn?"

Allyn was leaning against the doorframe as he waited, but straightened as Learmount emerged. He noticed the scruffy looking cat at her feet.

"A friend of yours?" He asked. "I hope he's fast. I have a few dogs around the homestead. Entirely harmless when they aren't out hunting, but they've scared many a cat with their attempts to make new friends. Ah, but I am distracted once more. Please, follow me. It's not a long walk." Allyn led the way to his homestead, once again making pleasant conversation. The time it took to get back was much shorter than the time it took for Allyn to find the Cut Of Your Jib the first time. Soon, he was walking through the gate to the little tower that he had lived in since Arthur had accepted his oath.

"Gerald!" he called, and a servant came rushing up.

"Escort Miss Learmount to her room. She's going to be staying here for a while. If she asks...do." The servant nodded, and took Learmount's bag.

"Will you excuse me, Learmount?" Allyn asked, "It's been a long night, and an old man needs his rest. If you need anything, just ask Gerald."

Learmount bade Allyn a good night and followed the man that was taking her to her room. As the servant named Gerald led Learmount down the hall, she looked around the tower. It was a cozy place, not too grand. Kind of reminded her of home. Gerald opened a door for her and she walked in.

The room that she was given was quite a step above the room she had at the Cut of Your Jib. Gerald looked at her, waiting for another order, and she smiled. "I'll settle in myself, thank you." He bowed and walked off.

Cait Sidhe curled up on the bed. "A servant, eh? I could get used to a life like this."

Learmount smiled and took her clothing out of her bag. "Don't get too used to it. We're only here as long as it takes to get this job done. After this I may be able to go back home." She smiled sadly.

"Everyone will be delighted to see you again. How long has it been since you left? One... two years?" The black cat looked up at her lazily.

"About a year and a half, mostly spent finding witches." She sighed, flopping down on the bed. "I have a good feeling about this hunt. I mean, after weeding a group out of Camelot, I don't see any threats. They'll all be too scared to come around."

Before Cait Sidhe could ask any more, she was fast asleep.

Or maybe Robin was mistaken.

"I guess there was no one there. My hearing must be getting worse in my old age." Or maybe they just got lost for 2-4 months.

"So anyway what were we talking about child?"

Tam shrugged.

"I dunno, you were saying something about us being beneficial to each other, then started staring off at the bushes. Do you often do that? I may not be the leading expert on normal, but that seems a bit strange." Suddenly, Tam felt woozy. She put her hand to her forehead, and sat down heavily on the ground.

"I am tired," she muttered. "Right then, Robin, you want to be friends? I dunno 'bout that, considering I just met you and I've already seriously considered killing you, but I might be willing to travel with you for now. I'm heading to Camelot. What's your destination?"

Hob stared at Tam.

"Of course I do, if i didn't stare at nothing one and nothing, then when I have to pay attetion then i can." Robin smiled at his confusing statement. He swore he had seen someone there......oh well.

"Anyway, I am going anywhere my feet take me. Camelot is as good as any. I guess I would like to go with you. One has to ask the question though, why a witch, like yourself, would go to the major place of witch execuction?"

Tam opened her mouth to comment of Robin's sentence that started off confusing and sort of went downhill from there. She reconsidered though. It probably wasn't worth asking for clarification.

"I don't really have a home anymore," Tam said, "People know I'm a witch where I lived, and I need to hide. A city's a big place, and it's not easy to find one person, 'specially if that one person does her best to stay hidden. I'm sure I can survive. If not...well, I'll figure somethin' out."

This was technically true, although it wasn't the whole truth. Tam had another agenda, one slightly less neutral, and full of disease and pain. But that wasn't as much of a plan as it was a goal. The whole 'stay hidden in the crowd' was part of what she needed. Maybe having a travelling partner would make her less conspicuous.

Tam yawned.

"Do what you want," she said, "I'm going to sleep. Right now." Tam scooted over to the nearest tree, leaned against it, and started snoring.

Robin stared at the young child in disbelief. He has not seen anyone fall asleep that quickly since he left his home. Peaseblossom could fall asleep 20 mins before he even closed his eyes.

Not truly thinking she was asleep Hob poked her with a stick. When after 15 pokes she did not wake up. Hob shrugged, and went to sleep.

Learmount woke up earlier than usual, as she had a bit of a walk ahead of her.

”And why are we up so early this morning?” Cait Sidhe was not happy about being jostled awake by the woman moving the covers off of her and onto him.

“I have a letter to write and deliver.” Learmount went over to the desk in her room and started opening and closing drawers, looking for writing materials. It didn’t take her long to find a pen, ink, and paper that she put on the desk. Pulling up a chair, she started to write.

Lord Bainard,

I am writing this letter to inform you that I am now working with Sir Allyn, as you instructed, and am staying at his home at the moment. Please direct all messages to there instead of the Cut of Your Jib.
Other than that, I have seen nobody that is linked to the magic group in Camelot. You will be informed of changes as they happen.

-Marian Learmount

She folded the letter and pulled out the wax and seal given to her by Lord Bainard. After sealing the letter, she rose and got dressed. “Now I have to go to the inn to meet the courier.” She opened the door, leaving quietly out of the tower as to not disturb anyone.

Allyn was up, as he was an early riser. He also had to see his wife and children off, as they left for the countryside. He did his morning stretching and exercises, and sparred some of the younger men. Allyn's reflexes were getting slower, but he was patient and managed to defeat his opponents. Barely.

"Well done," he said, panting, "You're learning." One of the youths picked himself off the ground, groaning.

"Not fast enough sir," he said. Allyn patted the young man's head.

"Everything comes in time," the knight said. He spotted Learmount leaving the tower. "Come with me." Allyn jogged over to the woman.

"Learmount!" He called, "Nice to see you up so early. May I ask where you're headed?"

Aldreda had been just about to reveal herself to the strangers in the forest (after all, the man had called her out, there was really no point in hiding anymore) when she heard a soft rustling coming from behind her, very near to where she had left Bryn. Anyone else would have, likely, mistaken the sound for no more than the wind, but Aldreda knew better. Turning away from the strange pair, she had headed back to where the unconscious man lay as quickly as stealth would allow for; she shouldn't have left him alone like she had, and now she had a terrible feeling about having done so.

When she got to where Bryn should have been laying, she was met only with an empty patch of ground. She had searched the surrounding area, expecting to find no trace of the man, and she found just that. She didn't know, exactly, what had happened to Bryn, but she had her suspicions; he certainly wasn't in any condition that led her to believe that he had left under his own power. Closing her eyes she listened to the trees trying to glean any hint as to who could have taken the wounded man. The trees spoke only of darkness and a strange feeling in the forest; they were oddly vague. Aldreda had been disconcerted to say the least. It was almost as if the trees had been...afraid...as ridiculous a notion as that seemed. Of course, it could have been only someone from the nearby camp that had come to reclaim their lost companion but Aldreda didn't think so; the trees were right about this strange feeling in the forest, besides the camp had been mostly packed up several minutes ago, the travelers were likely already on their way again. No, she didn't know who had taken the man, but she knew she didn't like where this was going at all.

After a few minutes further perusal of the forest had turned up just as fruitless, she had decided to go home to Elandris. The odd feeling had somewhat abated, she couldn't really accomplish much else out here in the dark, and she had an idea that the two she had seen earlier could fend for themselves, if it came down to that. Besides, Elandris really would be worrying about her, and in his state she hated to cause him more worry than she had to. She had decided she would come back in the morning and investigate further. When she had gotten home, she had found Elandris already asleep. Deciding not to wake the old man, she had kissed his head and gone to bed herself...although she didn't get any sleep, thinking about Bryn and all the things that had happened this night.

The next morning, Aldreda crept out of her room at sunrise over to the main room where Elandris still slumbered peacefully. She fixed his potions for the first part of the day, as well as his morning meal, which she set over a low fire so it would be warm for the old man when he awoke. He would likely be up soon, and she didn't plan on being gone long enough to cause him any grief, but she liked having things prepared just in case anything should come up and she was out longer than intended.

Creeping out the door, she took one more look at the sleeping old man and sighed. He really wouldn't approve of how much time she had been spending in the forest, especially in light of recent events; however, her curiosity far outweighed her guilt, and she continued on to the forest without a second thought. The forest was beautiful in the early morning sunlight; dew drops glistened on branches, birds sang, and the whole forest seemed to give a sleepy but pleasant sigh. There was no hint of whatever sinister presence had been there last night and Aldreda felt a sense of relief wash over her. She wasn't sure, exactly, where she had been headed when she nearly stumbled upon two prone figures on the path in front of her. She looked closer and saw that it was the two she had seen conversing last night...and they were sound asleep. She stopped just short of stepping on the man in front of her's hand and gasped quietly. She put her hand to her mouth, searching for a reaction from either of the sleepers. She dearly hoped she hadn't been loud enough to awaken them, but she had a feeling her hope might just prove to be in vain this time.

((Wow, ok, long post. Sorry...but I had some catching up to do. XD; Also, just so we're clear: I really have no plans or ideas for what/whoever supposedly took Bryn, but this way if Klink ever comes back he can still do whatever he wants with his character, and if not, it gives Aldreda [and Sly] a way out without the sticky plot-hole of leaving an unconscious man to die in the woods. Duh ))

Learmount paused as she heard Sir Allyn. Of course. She should have expected him to be an early riser, being a knight and all.

"I'm... heading back to the inn to give a letter to my employer. He doesn't know that I have changed address yet, so I have to inform him so all new assignments and information can be directed here instead of there." Learmount said quickly. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be back in a little bit." she waved farewell and walked down the street.

Cait Sidhe decided to stay in the room to sleep a little longer, so he was not following her to the inn. As she neared the building she saw the Courier walking down the street as well. Her walked picked up to a brisk jog as she met him in front of the inn and handed him the letter. He looked down, and then back up, and then nodded silently, walking off.

There. Lord Bainard had his report. She ran her fingers through her unruly mop of hair. She hadn't gotten around to brushing it yet, so it flew out everywhere. Now to head back and get herself properly ready to face the day.

Elaine flinched once again as the unmistakable sound of a heavy trunk being dropped, and its contents spilled resounded through the courtyard. Her eye narrowed as she spurred her horse forwards to see which of the idiot servants was the klutz this time. As she rounded one of the wagons she saw two young boys, scrambling through the dirt picking up odds and ends and stuffing them back into the trunk.

"Careful with that!" Elaine commanded, making the two youths look up in terror, before muttering their apologies and returning to their work, much more gently than before. Leave it to her husband to hire bumbling fools for servants, they had only just arrived at their home in Camelot and already the servants had drug a precious rug through the mud and dropped two trunks. Elaine rolled her eyes and pulled her horse from the awful sight.

"Remember Aurora" She said to the small girl sitting in front of her on the saddle "Servants are just that; servants, they are their for your needs, and when they are not doing their rightful duty it is your job to remind them and put them in their place, no matter how old you are."

"Yes mother" Aurora answered, twisting around to beam up at Elaine who gave her one of her rare smiles. The steward of the house came bustling over and Elaine's smile turned back into its normal crisp straight line as she noted how fat the man had become.

"The family living quarters have been unpacked and made ready m'lady the cook will prepare lunch as soon as the kitchen is." Elaine nodded at him and turned her horse towards the stable, dismounting and watching as the stable master helped Aurora down, she landed with ease and Elaine nodded to the man, finally someone doing something right. She took Aurora's hand and called for Edwin who was nearby, tussling with some young serving boys. Together they made their way into the splendid house.

"Very well," Allyn said to Learmount, "I'll leave you to it. I'll probably be out when you get back, so feel free to look around. Once again, if you need anything, ask Gerald." Allyn bowed to Learmount as she left, then turned to the young man at his shoulder.

"Follow her," he ordered, "Keep her safe. Don't be too obvious, a woman with an armed escort only attracts attention." The man nodded, and jogged off. Allyn quickly got changed, and washed the morning workout off.

"Gerald!" He called, once dressed in his most worn set of armor. "I'm heading out."

"Where to, m'lord?"

"I'm not a lord Gerald," Allyn corrected, "I'm just a knight."

"Sorry sir," the old servant said, bobbing his head, "Old habits. Where are you heading, sir?"

"The Corbenic estate," Allyn said, grimacing, "That woman may have more eyes than a fly, and the morals of a snake, but she knows far too much for me to ignore her."

"Good luck m'lo-sir. Sir. Good luck sir."

"Thank you Gerald." Allyn found a horse, and rode it to the Corbenic estate.

"Excuse me," he said to one of the guards posted outside, "I am here to see the Lady Corbenic. Will you let her know Sir Allyn is here?"
