A story about a community of wood elves living in a forest called Sylvanus. The main character Mira is the daughter of the Fieri family (see family list)
Wood elves had lived in Sylvanus since the Cretio, as the elders called it in their tales, when the entire world was created by Omnipoten, the ruler of all the gods. Omnipoten, as the tale goes, sung everything into life, and the singing of the wood elves was the sweetest song ever sung. Omnipoten loved the wood elves more than any of his other creations and blessed them with long lives and the entirety of Sylvanus to inhabit. He created five family amongst the elves so they might all contribute to their way of life.
The Unus family, the leaders of all the elves, blessed with wisdom and strength of heart
the Fieri family, the hunter who provided for the elves
the Ezio family, metal workers, creating everything from weapons to pots and pans,
the Villa family, the farmers and gatherers, providing the vegtables and fruits
the Manus family, the healers and magicians
the Annon family, the carpenters.
All five of these families lived harmoniously together and with the nature around them, killing only when they needed to. In fact, the wood elves had lived deep in Sylvanus so long that they had forgotten about the existence of humans, Omnipoten's other beloved creations who lived many thousand miles away from the heart of Sylvanus where the wood elves lived. That is, until Mira follows a deer to the edge of Sylvanus.
A human boy, Ryan, has lived besides the forest for his entire life and has often wandered among the trees, but always close enough to make his way back to his home

Name - Mira
Sex - Female
Species - Wood elf
Age - 17
Height - 5' 7"
Weight - 135
Appearance - Mira is a bit short for a wood elf, most women are about 5' 10", but her height makes it her more agile. Her muscles are well toned from years of pulling back bow strings and carrying heavy animals. She wears her hair in a braid that falls a little bellow her butt. Her eyes are the same color as leaves after a rainfall and they often have a mischievous spark behind them. She wears the traditional Dark green tunic of the wood elves that falls to her knees with a slit up to her hip and brown leggins beneath. Leather boots and a leather belt with survival supplies when she is out hunting in the woods. Along with leather shooting gloves as she is never seen without a quiver of arrows and her bow. The only jewelry she wears is a necklace that Faust made her, a thin silver chain with and intricate knot of silver hanging from it, and her mother's ring silver inlaid with emerald stones. Both pieces are very dear to her.
Personality - Mira can be very sweet, when she isn't loosing her temper, but her temper is like a wild fire in a wood that hasn't had rain for 5 years. On her good days she is very good and she has a soft spot in her heart for children (because of raising her brother and sisters). Mira is usually completely oblivious from any affection of the opposite gender, especially her best friend Faust, but she is quite the flirt.
Biography - Mira is the daughter of the Fieri family, so hunting is in her blood. As soon as she turned 6 her father took her out to the shooting range to get her used to a bow and arrows and ever since then they have become like another part of her. When she was eight she was out wandering the woods (even though she wasn't supposed to be there alone) and stumbled upon nine-year-old Faust about to be gutted by a wild boar. Without any hesitation she shot an arrow right through its brain. From that moment on Faust and her had become the best of friends. When she was thirteen her mother gave birth to her little brother, but due to complications her mother died. Mira's father receded into grief and she became the new mother for her two younger sisters and new-born brother. She also had to find food for the family since their father wouldn't leave his bedroom. One night she came home with a whole deer, bigger than herself, her father, upon seeing the deer seemed to snap out of it and continued on with his life. Though Mira loves him deeply she never really forgave him for the year that he disappeared.
Strengths - Mira is exceptional with a bow, and nothing can harm her as long as she has one, she is also very quick on her feet and can walk through the forest unseen and unheard
Weaknesses - Mira is oblivious to the opposite sex, and their feelings for her. She is also insanely curious, which gets her into lots of trouble, as well as having a quick temper.
Other - One day while out exploring the woods Mira found a baby squirrel abandoned by its parents, not having the heart to shoot it (it looked quite pitiful) she went over to see if she could do anything. It inspected her for a moment before scrambling up her arm and onto her shoulder, nuzzling her neck, she named him Seyus and he now accompanies her everywhere.
Family - Fieri
Relationships - Again, not very interested in men, besides Faust, but he is just her best friend. Also, her cousin Valora is a very good friend, and they are often seen with each other (though not as often as with Faust)

Name - Ryan (Available)

Family - Older brother, Doug (20) Mother, Maria (45) Father left his mother for a younger women.

Name: Faust Ezio
Species: Wood Elf
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Height: 6’4”
Weight: 170lbs
Appearance: Faust is just above the average height for a male wood elf, and about the same breadth as most of his kin. As with most wood elves, Faust is thin, but years of working in the forge has given him a hard layer of muscle, so he’s powerful. Faust has shoulder length golden hair that he usually ties back into a ponytail to keep it out of his way when he’s working. He has light blue eyes, the color of robin eggs, that are bright and warm and laughing. He wears the normal cloth garb of his people, the stereotypical dark greens that look good against his pale skin. Around his neck, Faust wears a teardrop pendant of amber that he tucks into his shirt. Fausts hands are covered with scars and calluses from his work, and when he’s in the forge, he wears a leather apron and gloves to protect himself. Outside, when he’s in the forest, Faust wears a belt of knives that he made himself. Most of these knives are throwing knives, but he also has a pair of long fighting daggers. He might bring a quiver and a bow, but he isn’t skilled with them so he ditches them most of the time. Faust goes barefoot, so his feet are generally muddy on the bottom. Generally, Faust has a smudge of coal somewhere on his face, generally on his nose, but sometimes on his forehead or cheek.
Personality: Faust is a nice guy. He smiles when he talks, and listens when he doesn’t talk. He asks about what you’re doing, and how you’ve been, and rarely talks about himself. He’s always willing to pitch in a helping hand, and is a favorite amongst the children because of his marvelous piggy-back rides. Just…a nice guy. He enjoys talking to people, and loves the quiet of the forest. A lot of the girls wish they could catch his eye, but the only girl for him is Mira. He’s had a crush on her since he was nine and she saved him from a wild boar. The following verbal abuse just made Faust even more infatuated. He knew Mira, with her spitfire attitude and blanket love for everything in the forest, did not return his affections, and has since made due just being her friend. The few times that Faust has suspected that Mira has found another boy to be with, he got extremely withdrawn until Mira snapped him out of his delirium. He passed it off as extreme overprotectiveness, which wasn’t really a lie, so Mira continued none the wiser. Faust, while liking being helpful to the elves, loves to create pieces of beauty, and often gives trinkets to Mira and other people closer to him. People can depend on him to give a calm and rational opinion to any topic (besides Mira and humans), and are surprised when he becomes excited or angry or sad about anything.
The only thing that Faust cannot stand besides Mira’s fictional boyfriend is the humans. He is one of few wood elves that know of the humans’ existence, and he dearly wishes he didn’t. Faust harbors a hatred of anything human and of his own cowardice, the two of which are linked and are explained in the biography.
Biography: Faust was born into the Ezio family, and grew up with the sounds of hammers and fire in his ears. He had to work from a young age, but he enjoyed being helpful. Because he was younger than most workers, he got to go off and do his own thing with his siblings. When he was eight, he took his younger sister, Sim, on a run through the forest, and a few humans spotted them. Faust, with his long limbs and strong arms, was able to climb out of reach, but the three men killed Sim in sport. Faust had to force himself to keep quiet and hidden in the leaves of the tree as he watched the three drunkards murder his precious sister. After the act was done, Faust climbed down, and carried Sim back to the village. He said she’d been attacked by an animal, knowing that no one would believe him if he told the truth. Humans existed only in stories and myths. Faust now wears Sim’s amulet, and never takes it off, and never lets anyone touch it.
As a youngster, Faust’s duties included running ore from the caves to the forge, and running water from the river to the workers. It was on one of these trips that he first met Mira. He was attacked by a wild boar, which was immediately shot down by Mira, who then proceeded to berate him and call him an idiot for being so careless. It was love at first sight. Mira filled the void that Sim’s death had left him with. For a while, Faust followed Mira like a little puppy dog before his father took him aside and told him to knock it off. The two could be friends, but nothing more. Faust nodded, and became fast friends with Mira. He’s still head over heels in love, but keeps his feelings in check.
Faust learned how to create things in his father’s smithery, and is an exceptional smith. He can create the simple tools, but his true love is silversmithing, which he rarely gets to do. Silver is rare, and other smiths generally get the ore, but when Faust lays his hands on some silver, the results are incredible. He usually gives the finished pieces to his family, but if something’s particularly good, he’ll give it to Mira.
Abilities: Faust, like all elves, is extremely good at navigating the forest. He’s strong from working in a smithery, and is skilled with his throwing knives, which he practiced with after he was almost killed by the boar. He’s fast at jumping from tree to tree, but not running on the forest floor. He usually trips if he does that. He is a competent blacksmith and silversmith.
Weaknesses: Faust is blind when it comes to Mira, and does as she asks in every matter. He’s clumsy on his feet, which is why he prefers to jumping from tree to tree (an activity that requires legs AND arms) than running along the forest floor. He is also blind when it comes to humans, and hates them and everything about them with a passion.
Other: Faust has a relationship with an owl. The owl doesn’t have a name, and isn’t with him constantly, but he feeds her when she comes to him, and she brings him presents of…dead mice. The owl will accompany him on his nighttime trips into the forest. The owl is a Boreal Owl, and Faust enjoys listening to her hoot at him.
Relationships: Faust is in love with Mira, but hides it rather well. He respects his parents, and his various other family members.
Unrelated Quirk: Faust freaking loves blueberries. Like…you’ve no idea.

The leaves of the tall oak trees threw patterns of sunlight onto the soft mossy forest floor. Butterflies lazed by flowers and bird sung sweet melodies at each other. A buck leaned down to take a drink of cool water from a flowing stream when he heard a noise, he perked his ears and turned his head as a bow string twanged.
The thud from the bucks life-less body roused the silent hunter from her spot as she went over to inspect her kill. She knelt by the dead buck and sent a silent prayer Abramis, the goddess of animals, thanking her for providing the food that would keep her family fed. Hoisting the buck over her shoulder, she headed back to the heart of Sylvanus, back to the labyrinth of tree huts where her people, the wood elves lived.

Faust sat in the middle of a vine bride, slowly swinging back and forth as he gazed out into the darkening forest. The light from the sunset shimmered off his golden hair but his blue eyes were clouded with worry. They flicked back and forth until he spotted a moving figure. The grabbed a dangling vine and threw himself off the bridge, swinging gracefully to land besides the figure.
"Mira!" he exclaimed in excitement "look at the buck you got!"
Mira grinned up at him from under her kill. "Hey Faust, lend a hand would you?"
